FOUNDING PRINCIPAL, VOX COLLEGIATE OF LOS ANGELES
Working in colloboration with the head of school to establish a high achieving middle school in
south los angeles. I oversee instRUCTIONAL development, special education, Enlgish langauge
development AND WHOLE child support programs. I also develop all school and staff
professional learning along with individual staff coaching.
08/2019 – PRESENT
NEW SCHOOL CREATION FELLOW, HIGH TECH HIGH GRADUATE SCHOOL OF EDUCATION
The new school creation fellowship is a 2-year comprehensive fellowship that supports
educators in learning about innovative school design models, educational policy, equity work and
PBL design at several of the San Diego High Tech High Campuses.
08/2013 – 06/2018
FOUNDING TEACHER, CAMINO NUEVO CHARTER ACADEMY
While at Camino I taught World History and U.S. History including AP for both subjects. I have
assumed leadership positions in our Instructional leadership team, Culture team and as History
Department chair. I founded and established student government and senior committee and
presented best literacy and reading practices at our annual success conference.

03/2015 – 08/2017
CA STATE POLICY FELLOW/TEACH PLUS FELLOW, TEACH +PLUS
Worked in collaboration with a small group of LAUSD teachers on education policy. Visited
Sacramento and spoke with several legislators regarding pressing issues and bills. Met with key
stakeholders at LAUSD in order to converse about the future of teacher leadership.

TEACHER ADVOCACY FELLOW, CCSA
Worked on teacher leadership and advocacy through building and training task-forces, engaged
in in-depth studies of educational policy issues and met with legislators. Presented at the
National Charter School Association conference regarding the importance of teacher voice in
decisions at the school, state and national levels.

PROGRAM COORDINATOR, THINK TOGETHER
Worked on developing an after-school program for 70 middle school students that supported
academics, character development and health. Planned for and supported three staff members
while repairing and establishing a positive relationship with school teachers and administrators.
