Projects The Wall Thickness (WALL) module calculates the minimum wall thickness that Download
will meet the requirements of the selected design code.
Career Opportunities The design codes implemented by the WALL module are: Modules

Heat Transfer Calculation
The WALL module follows the following procedure: Hydrate Formation Prediction

Calculate the minimum wall thickness for each of the selected design Lateral Buckling Calculation
code requirements (hoop stress, hydrostatic collapse, buckle propagation, Lay Rate Estimation
diameter to thickness ratio); Lay Stress Analysis
Select the minimum wall thickness that will comply with all the selected Single Phase Oil & Liquid
design code requirements; Flow
Recommend the nearest API pipe size that will comply with all the
Material Selection & Corrosion
selected design code requirements.
Allowance
The WALL module enables the engineer to quickly and easily calculate the Quick Lay Stress Analysis
required wall thickness of a pipeline for any of the codes selected. The module can Pipeline Reeling
also be used to optimise the pipeline steel grade.
