Abstract

The main objective of my research paper “Youth Entrepreneurship” is to discuss students

about youth entrepreneurship. Fresh graduate students or youth in our society are always trying

to do something new. They don’t like job so much. My hypothesis is NSU students once they

graduate, will becoming an entrepreneurs more than getting jobs they don’t want bosses. It’s

absolutely true. When fresh graduate students complete his or her graduation he or she wants

something new or he and she wants to do run business which will be very helpful in their life. By

being entrepreneurs he or she will join an independent way and they utilize their innovation.

Besides he or she will generating their ideas and implementing their ideas. My main findings is

youth want involving in entrepreneurs over a job. So students confirm my hypothesis. They are

agreed with my matter. Their more interest on youth entrepreneurship. Though in our country

most of the people discourage students don’t being an entrepreneur because they think being

entrepreneurs are not good over a job. But they don’t understand an entrepreneurs create job

opportunity for a nation. Though parents or neighbours are always give negative advice but when

they understood their child done very well on that they will be very happy. But this is clear

statement that students want to be their own business boss. They don’t want bosses.

Introduction

Youth Entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship is an independent profession. Many of them want to be an

entrepreneurs. An entrepreneurs can change social development and promote his or her country

to the others country. An entrepreneurs can contribute of the total economy of a country. Now

day’s youth are very busy to settle their life as an entrepreneurs. When a fresh graduate complete

his or her graduation he or she wants to do something which is very unique. Because youth are

the change makers of society. When they studied they can generate lots of ideas about business

which is rarely possible in jobs life. youth are the innovator of ideas, when youth are studying in

an organization they can gather about information, research, hardworking, be social, capacity

development and many others thing.(Kamal,2017).

In job life youth can’t imagine about their plan for this, their plan will snatched forever.

Ayman Sadiq is a Bangladeshi social youth entrepreneurs. He can teach about lot of things which

is very essential for us. In our country there are lots of people derived from proper education,

Ayman who brought new things for this students that is why student will learn about their

studies. Every youth should adhere to certain thing because he or she knows very well about his

or her certain things, there thinking can take very long way. Bangladesh government and many

of NGO and foundation are trying to train many youth so that they can do something for their

own. Besides many stockholders work with youth on entrepreneurship to manage the youth of a

country. (Rahman, 2011, para 1). A youth never scared in any danger situation. Running

business is very challenging work for new entrance entrepreneurs but a real entrepreneur’s

quality is to struggle and make business plan successful. Every youth has a dream and has to

focus vigorously to climb onto the top of that mountain . “If young generation is encouraged to be

self-employed, they will bring significant change in the economy creating investment and

employments”. (Tribune Report, 2015). Entrepreneurship is very amazing because in this way

there has full control of their destiny, freedom to travel, no boringness, mind will always be

utilized, and opportunities for good give back, no career hamster wheel at this way. (Long, n.d.).

Most of the entrepreneurs don’t like boss because they want to be boss. Then it’s challenging and many of

them want to do online shop, restaurant business and import and exports. Youth are always trying to do

business and being entrepreneurs.

Research Question

In my research I plan to investigate the misconception about homosexuality among

common people.

 Why young generation prefer entrepreneur more than getting jobs?

Young generation prefer entrepreneur more than getting jobs because young always want

an independent profession. In some cases, job profession is not an independent profession.

Sometimes job life is not so flexible. As young are fresh graduate they can’t cope with this type

of environment.

 Why the concept of entrepreneurship becoming popular among the fresh

graduate?

Entrepreneurship is popular among fresh graduate because fresh graduate desires to be

their own boss and have better control. And their ambition is to develop and execute a plan right

from the ground plan. For this reason may be they will not fail easily. A proper plan give any

success and also help in a serious moments. Fresh graduate likes take risks so that global

environment will be changed where unexplored new opportunities were present.

6|Page
Youth Entrepreneurship

 What are the obstacle on the way entrepreneurship for young generations?
Everything has a both positive and negative reacts. In entrepreneurship there are few

obstacle for youth. Here are some of the most common psychological obstacles to hold potential

business owners back from succeeding. Frist obstacle is financial burden. When youth starting a

new business suddenly he or she face financial burden for this he faced emotional stress. An

emotional stress is very bad for start-up business.

Another thing is perfection paradox. Entrepreneur is an independent profession so he or

she need quick on his feet because inertia is one of the greatest enemies of success. So

entrepreneur can’t wait until he has the perfect plan before taking.

 Do the young generation of developing country have same opportunity

compare to the entrepreneur of others develops country?

Entrepreneurship is an important component for an economic growth, innovation,

competitiveness, and even alleviating poverty for many countries. For entrepreneurship in

developing countries is the lack of capital and financial innovation. Many people have limited

savings and lack to capital to run a business. (Pennisi, 2014.)

In many countries their economic is not same. In Europe youth get lot of opportunities to

start a business but in our country like Bangladesh it has not more opportunity to start a business

as like as Europe country.

 What makes being an entrepreneurship challenging?

Finance is the biggest headache for all entrepreneurs. It’s often difficult to raise enough

capital to start a new business. Even business is established but entrepreneurs have hard time

obtaining loans and lines of credits.

7|Page
Youth Entrepreneurship

Time management is also very important for an entrepreneurs. It’s imperative to have

good time with good skill. Entrepreneurs are known for constantly brainstorming and having

new ideas on how they can capitalize and make more money of lack of focuses. When an

entrepreneur have fixed his or her time by scheduling time and complete his work and doing

struggled by his or her own way. For this is occurred only for his self-employed. (Robertson,

n.d.)

 Why entrepreneurship is an important?

Entrepreneur creates new business by new goods and services, result in new employment.

Then it can add in national income and entrepreneurial ventures literally generate new wealth.

Then in can also create social change which is very important for us. In entrepreneurs our society

is being developing day by day which is very necessary. An entrepreneur can change our life

style and also change our country movement and development.

 Why entrepreneurs is amazing?

As it is an independent in this way there is no dress code for CEO and founder. An

entrepreneurs are innovators of his ideas. He or she always try to create new ideas and brings

new technology with business venture. Their culture is almost like a family.

There is no boringness and an entrepreneurs mind is always be utilized because every

single decision that involves business and no blaming game. They have total freedom to roam,

create, delegate and work. There are no cubicles or desks to be tied to all day.

Hypothesis

I think that NSU students once they graduate, will become want to entrepreneurship more

than getting jobs because they don’t want bosses. When the complete their graduation they want

to join in a flexible profession and they want to do something with different way. That is why

they want to be an entrepreneur. They don’t like bosses because boss are always orders him.

Comparatively so many pressure in job’s life from business. Many of student passion is to be

business man. Business are always an independent profession. In this way there has mane

independence.

More importantly, I believe that most of students will prefer most entrepreneurship rather

than jobs. When the question comes that why fresh graduate wanted to be an entrepreneur then I

think because of the demand and life style of a youth; they don’t want bosses because they want

to be boss; they would like to generate business ideas. What type of business they prefer? I think

so they preferred most restaurant business. Now days it’s very standard business I think so. End

of the moment nsu students prefer most entrepreneurs over a job. I think they will be agreed with

my and accept my matter.

Research Methodology

First of all I have studied about the current picture of the youth entrepreneurs in

Bangladesh, which helps me to know about the condition of that sector for my primary

research I will conduct a survey of a representative sampling of the students of North South

University, about the youth entrepreneurship. That is why I have managed to collect my

necessary information from them. I have prepared 26 copies of questionnaires and

distributed most of the students to the officials of the.

This segmentation helped me to identify the viewpoint of the people who are related with

business and most of them are entrepreneurs. This primary data collection helped me to make a

clear viewpoint of the entrepreneurship.

For my secondary research, I plan to browse the internet and use standard search engines

like Google. There I found out important information regarding the increasing number of internet

users in Bangladesh which helped me to reach to a conclusion. The sources are added in the

“Secondary sources” section at the end of the research paper.

Data Presentation & Analysis

In order to collect sufficient data about the youth entrepreneurship, I conducted a survey

concerning various aspects of my research. The data collected helped me to draw conclusion

about my research. 26 people gave their responses on the questions. The data collected is

presented & analysed in the following pages.

80% responded yes while 12 male and 8 are female. And 20% responded no while 2 are

male and 4 persons are female out of 26 people. Most of the students/people to be boss. Because

boss is the only one person who maintain his/her office main task. So, when we conclude the

study, we can certainly say that most of the answers come from positive. In entrepreneurs carrier

there is no accountability for the others.

11 | P a g e
Youth Entrepreneurship

The chart shows that 20% of our research wants boss. They want to do work depends on

their boss. They think job life is very easier from business life. And they also think job life is

entrepreneurs. Most of the answered come from restaurants business around 62% wants to run

fresh graduate wants comfortable or flexible things in their starting life. And restaurant business

most of persons are male.

Another option is online shopping. Though we can see in social media’s there are many

Imports and exports business is good business to earn more money. By doing this business youth

Entrepreneurship challenging because an entrepreneurship is teambuilding, being the

They would like business that is why they can operate many business or many persons.

Question 08: Do you prefer entrepreneurship over a job?

22%

Yes
No

78%

Around 78% people prefer entrepreneurs more than getting jobs and 22% don’t prefer

entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs means doing something by own or a group of people. It is a

process of creating value by bringing together a unique package of resources to exploit an

opportunity. It’s the way to do something for someone his/her willingly.

Job means maintain order by someone and work for his/ her. Though it’s a secure life and

fixed salary fixed time for work and lots of pressure to complete task within a very short time. In

18 | P a g e
Youth Entrepreneurship

this life youth are mainly learner and boss is the teacher to learn something his/her under

employee. This is not an independent profession.

Summary of Research Findings:

The data I collected matched my hypothesis. The answers collected from the survey

showed us that majority of our participants were to be boss. This meant that most of them were

brought up for leading their company or to be run anything where he is the boss of things. Then

most of the participants want to be an independent which is very easy way for an entrepreneurs.

Entrepreneurship is an independent profession. In this profession is very flexible for youth. And

they run their business by their ideas and according to their willingness.

The survey also showed that most of the participants would like generate business ideas.

And majority of the participants want to do in restaurant business. They think that restaurant

business is profitable business now days and its demand is high. Then most of the fresh graduate

prefers entrepreneurship more than jobs it’s proved that entrepreneurship is good for youth and

its demand is also increasing among the youth. Their main incentive is to earn more money to

become rich and become their own business. And they think that it’s a challenging for everyone

and everywhere. Some of participants seemed that entrepreneurship is risky but end of it is not

more risky.

Finally most of the youth or participants would like to their own business that means they

want to do business more than jobs. When a person run any business and many of them

employee work under his/her it is joyful for the entrepreneurs.

Therefore, we should take necessary steps to encourage youth for being an entrepreneurs.

And my hypothesis is correct. My hypothesis was NSU students once they graduate, will become

19 | P a g e
Youth Entrepreneurship

want to entrepreneurship more than getting jobs because they don’t want bosses. Now we say it

is correct from our survey perspective. Most of the youth want to an independent profession

which is entrepreneurs more than job life.

Conclusion:

The world is moving towards globalization through its development. Entrepreneurship is

one of greatest things while a country can improve it’s a very short time. There are more

opportunity creates for being entrepreneurs; as like as job, maintain mutual relation with others

country. But in our country parents of youth discourage their child for being an entrepreneurs.

They think job life is better more than entrepreneurs. But they don’t understand job life is not

secure and youth can’t express his or her ideas. When they start a business by creating their

ideas, one day they will be successful, not only successful his or her own country but also

familiar with the world. If we see one nsu student Sajid Iqbal got an award as a social

entrepreneurs. Its pride of our country. So, every parents, guardian of youth and many others

people to encourage young for being an entrepreneurs. It’s very challenging and youth are being

focused always which is very challenging. Besides being an entrepreneurs, it will be helpful for a

country. An entrepreneurs can bring change in social development. They are the change makers

of our society, one day they will accept the power of a country and lead the country.
