II. ACTIVITY:

Denoting to services and interests that appeal to a specialized section of a certain community, ST. LOUIS Niche
is a unified community engagement program of the Community Extension and Outreach Programs Office
(CEOPO) that taps all sectors of the university to share their expertise and competence to a partner community,
hence, concretizing their unique CICM MISSIONARY Characteristics. The niche is composed of eight nexus
where all sectors of the university can extend their knowledge, skills, and know-how.
Eight Nexus:
Nexus 1: Buklod ng Pag-asa ni Padre Theophile Verbist (Justice: Justice and Peace, Engaged Citizenship,
Poverty Alleviation)
Objective: Give hope and life to the marginalized, vulnerable, and unloved of the society
Partner Agencies: BJMP, NCIP, DOLE, DSWD
Target Partner Community: Jail Inmates, Unemployed, Indigenous Peoples, PWDs
Nexus 2: #ILOVEYOUth (Integrated Louisians on Values Empowerment of the Youth) (Integrity of Creation:
Youth Empowerment, Engaged Citizenship)
Objective: Assist, nurture, and empower the youth in the civic and social involvement
Partner Agencies: SK Federation, DSWD, Diocesan and Public Schools (DepEd)
Target Partner Community: Youth Leaders, Out-of-School Youth, Students
Nexus 3: LOUISIAN CARES (Concrete Actions and Response for Emergency Services) (Justice, Integrity of
Creation: Justice and Peace, Engaged Citizenship)
Objective: Respond effectively to the needs of the immediate community in terms of medical and health
services
Partner Agencies: Red Cross, SLU Hospital, MOMFI, Baguio Association of Retired Personnel (BARP)
Target Partner Community: Elders, PWDs, Sick People, Victims of Calamities
Nexus 4: Pen, Book, and Chalk (PBC) Program (Justice, Integrity of Creation: Engaged Citizenship)
Objective: Support diocesan and public school teachers in improving their teaching and school needs and other
agencies who need academic assistance

Target Partner Community: Diocesan Schools and Public Schools
Nexus 5: Gangsa School of Living Traditions (Indigenous Peoples Advocates: Justice and Peace)
Objective: Promote culture, heritage, and values of the indigenous communities especially of the Cordilleras
Partner: Indigenous Peoples in the Cordillera, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples, DepEd
Target Partner Community: Students, Youth Leaders
Nexus 6: Hapag ng Pagkakaisa (Peace, Interfaith Dialogue: Justice and Peace, Engaged Citizenship)
Objective: Strengthen camaraderie, partnership, and brotherhood among different religious denominations

Nexus 7: C.I.C.M - N Program (CICM Initiatives to Care for Mother Nature) (Integrity of Creation:

Objective: Demonstrate concrete ways on how to protect and rehabilitate the environment
Partner Agencies: DENR, PNP, EMB, Balili River System Rehabilitation
Target Partner Community: Partner Communities, Adopted Water Shed
SAMCIS PLO
BS FINMAN PROGRAM
1. Communicate business concepts and strategies effectively, orally and in writing, in both English and Filipino
using appropriate technology;
2. Apply financial principles, theories, and concepts in the corporate world;
3. Evaluate socio-political and economic factors in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural local and global
business environment;
4. Exhibit extensive knowledge in research in the field of financial management;
5. Take part in the community-based program that would enhance the proper utilization, procurement and
allocation of funds towards the improvement of the financial capability of individual in the community;
6. Demonstrate ethical behaviour in handling money, financial instruments, and in all financial dealings;
7. Preserve and promote “Filipino historical and cultural heritage” through a life imbued with patriotism and
participative action in the development of Philippine financial system; and
8. Demonstrate a life imbued with Louisian values dedicated and committed to the service of the community.
BSCS PROGRAM
1. Apply design and development principles to the construction of software systems of varying complexity;
2. Apply mathematical foundation, algorithmic principles, and computer science theory in the modeling and
design of computer –based system;
3. Use the latest tools and standards in producing and repackaging information, designing information
systems, organization, and preservation of information;
4. Identify problems and analyze computing requirements needs and take them into account in the selection,
creation, evaluation and administration of computer-based system;
5. Participate in the generation of new knowledge and developmental projects;
6. Analyze the local and global impact of computing on individuals, organizations, and society;
7. Communicate effectively orally and in writing using both English and Filipino;
8. Work effectively as an individual and as a team player in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment;
9. Act in accordance to professional, social, legal, security and ethical responsibilities;
10. Recognize the need to engage in life-long learning and professional development;
11. Preserve and promote “Filipino historical and cultural heritage;and
12. Practice Christian values in their personal and professional endeavours as Louisians, and actively
participate in community extensions in the service of the CICM mission.
BSIT PROGRAM
1. Apply current technical concepts and practices in the core information technologies: (human computer
interaction, information management, programming, networking, and web systems and technologies.);
2. Apply knowledge of computing, basic science, and mathematics in the appreciation of the IT discipline;
3. Recognize the need to engage in life-long learning and professional development;
4. Use the latest tools and standards in producing and repackaging information, designing information
systems, organization, and preservation of information;

human resource development management;
3. Integrate Filipino traits, values and cultural heritage in all HRDM endeavors;
4. Demonstrate competencies in social sciences; mathematics; accounting; business laws and taxation;
information technology; and relevant management philosophies, principles and practices in the field of
business administration;
5. Demonstrate proficiency in HRDM research;
6. Demonstrate creativity and critical thinking in applying the key human resource development management
(HRDM) concepts, principles and practices related to acquiring, developing, and maintaining human resources;
7. Assess the various forces as well as significant trends and developments in the business environment to
guide current and future HRDM decisions and practices;
