The purpose of the original video that I created is to remind my students about
schoolwork they can be completing at home. I have quite a few students who are not completing
schoolwork at home. I hope that this will be a pleasant and friendly reminder to students of what
The target audience for the multimedia presentation I created is my students, as well as
people that will be coming to my website. In the future, I can direct potential employers to my
website to get a good idea of the work I can produce and the heart I have for not only teaching
When I first found out that I was going to be creating a multimedia presentation, I did not
think it would take a lot of time or be time-consuming. I quickly learned how wrong I was. First,
I decided to create a storyboard using Google Slides. I often use Google Slides with my students,
and I use it to create presentations for my class. I was able to map out my ideas and the details I
Next, I searched for video creating websites. I ended up going with www.biteable.com. I
loved that this application already had “scenes” to pick from. It made it easy to create the video
portion of the project. Once I knew which scenes I wanted to use, I took a screenshot and
uploaded it to Google Slides. This made it easy to decide which scene I would use for which
topic. When creating the video, the program is very straightforward. There are sections for text
properties and background footage. Within the text properties, you can change the font, size,
weight, line spacing, font color, background color, alignment, and text animations. Within the
background footage, you can change the background image, the size of the background image,
add a color filter, and change the background color. You can also move the background image
around on the background. I was also able to pick out music that would fit my video.
The next step proved to be the most difficult. I have used ScreenCastify several times in
the past to create videos for my class. However, I have never tried to record my voice over a
video that already had sound. I tried this several times and was unable to figure it out. Next, I
used the program Audacity to record myself reading the words on each scene of the video. It
took quite a while to capture the correct tone of voice I wanted to project to my students.
Finally, I used Adobe Premiere Pro to put everything together. I was able to find where I
had the video, and the audio files saved on my computer and then upload them to the program. In
the program itself, there are different sections where you can drop the item into the series based
on the type of file. I had to play around with the audio files for quite some time to get me reading
