ONLINE NOVENA TO
OUR LADY OF THE AIRWAYS
READING:
Mother: A Reading from the Letter of Paul to the Galatians
But when the fullness of time came, God sent His Son. He came born of woman
and subject to the law, in order to redeem the subjects of the law, that we may given
our full rights of sons and daughters of God. And because you are sons, God has sen
into your hearts the Spirit of His Son which cries out: Abba! That is, Father! You
yourself are no longer a slave but a son or daughter, and yours is the inheritance by
God's grace.
OPENING PRAYER:
Father: Almighty God, who chose from eternity the Blessed Virgin Mary, to be
the Mother of Jesus, vouchsafe, we beseech You, to grant us the grace
to know Your will and order our lives according to Your will. Grant us
also the grace to express our appropriate devotion to the Blessed Virgin
Mary, the mother of our Lord Jesus Christ and our mother as well.
All: Amen.
MEMORARE:
All: Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that
anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help or sought thy
intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto
thee, O Virgin of virgins my Mother; to thee do I come, before thee I
stand, sinful and sorrowful; O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise
not my petitions in my necessities, but in your mercy, hear and answer
me.
Amen
Our Lady of the Airways, Virgin patron of successful journeys, come and place us
beneath your protection throughout this journey on which we are all setting forth.
Our Lady of Peace, help us to be always aware that on this earth, we are pilgrims.
We therefore, sincerely implore your heavenly intercession that in the journey of
this life, we may safely arrive at the gate of eternal glory to meet you and Your Son,
Divine. Amen.
Our Lady of the Airways, chosen patroness of travelers, look mercifully on us your
children as we constantly move from one place to another, whether it is on the sea,
by the land, or through the air, we are always facing many risks, both spiritual and
temporal. We therefore, ask your powerful guidance and protection dear Patroness
of Peace and Good Voyage. Guide us that we may arrive safely at the place we want
to reach. And as we travel, each of us is loaded with burdens. We, therefore, ask
from you to grant us our petition. We know, dearest Mother, that you love us. We
are convinced that no one who asks for your help is left unanswered. We therefore,
hope in your love and mercy that you will grant our petition if it will be for our own
good. This we ask from The Father, through His Son, in the unity of the Holy Spirit
forever and ever. Amen.
“When Jesus saw the Mother, and the disciple whom he loved, he said to the
Mother, "Woman, this is your son." Then He said to the disciple, "There is your
Mother." And from that moment the disciple took her to his own home." (John 19,
26-27)
Mother: O Blessed Virgin Mary, we pray that we may truly appreciate what our
Lord Jesus Christ did for us. We pray that we also remember gratefully
your concern for us, your children. At the cross our Lord Jesus Christ
gave you to us as our Mother. Help us to understand what you felt as
you stool by your Son during His agony on the cross. As you suffered
with your Divine Son on the cross, you must have suffered again and
again as your sons and daughters today do not fully appreciate what
your Son did for us all. Through the centuries, you constantly
reminded us to be faithful to your Son and to pray always. Grant us,
dear Lady, the grace that we may be sorry for all our sins and listen
finally to the voice of your Son that we may be with you in the kingdom
of heaven when our time comes.
Amen
Let us pray,
Grant us your servants, we beseech You, O Lord God to enjoy perpetual health of
mind and body, that through the glorious intercession of Blessed Virgin Mary ever
Virgin, we may be delivered from present sorrow, and enjoy everlasting happiness.
Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
