What are the acceptable transactions for the drive-through, dropbox and registered post method?

The services offered for the drive-through, dropbox and registered post method are limited to the
submission of statutory documents related to company only.

Upon receiving the appointment confirmation email, will customers be asked for proof when they
are present at any SSM office?

Yes, customers will need to bring along the confirmation email from SSM as proof. Appointment
slots must be booked in advance, at least 24 hours before attending any SSM Offices, and the
confirmation of appointment is subjected to the approval of the officer. Customers are also advised
to be present on the allotted date and time.

If the customer is late or absent at the given date and time, the appointment will be void, and the
customer will have to reapply for another appointment through the online appointment platform.
What payment mode is accepted for SSM transactions?

Customers can make payment using the

following methods:

(a) Cash, credit card or debit card for business

registration related services.

(b) Cash, credit card, debit card, bank draft or

cheque from management company for

company related services.

(c) Bank draft or cheque from the management

company for transactions via drive-through

method

(d) Bank draft or cheque from the management

company for transactions via registered

post.

Is it necessary for customers to make an appointment if they need to visit SSM offices on matters
other than counter operations re
Yes, customers must make an appointment for other matters as well. To do so, customers must click
on the Advisory and Enquiry menu on the online appointment form and fill in the details of the
appointment, together with the name of the officer (if any) in the text box provided.

SSM counter operations will resume on Wednesday,

13 May 2020, through these three methods:

i. Online Appointment

ii. Drive-through / Dropbox

iii.Registered Post

The counter operations will begin from 9 am to 3 pm

on working days.

How does the online appointment method works?

Customers can follow these steps:

i. Visit SSM's official portal at

www.ssm.com.my

ii. Click on the appointment banner on the

portal’s main page

iii. Fill in the appointment form with your complete

information.

iv. Click submit.

v. Wait for the confirmation email.

vi. Bring along the appointment slip with you

when present at SSM office


What are the services offered through SSM online appointment?

These are the services offered through the online appointment:

(a) Business registration related services:

i. EzBiz ID activation

ii. Business registration for the disabled / elderly

iii. Change in business ownership

iv. Business Verification Letter

v. Business ownership confirmation letter

vi. Matters related to Court Orders

(b) Submission of statutory documents and compound related services.

(c) Advisory and enquiry

How does the drivethrough method works?

Customers can follow these steps:

i. Make sure the documents submitted are

complete

ii. The statutory document of the company

must be placed in an envelope or a

box.

iii. Fill in the sender’s information form and

make sure to include the company registration number. Stick the completed form
on the envelope cover or box.

iv. Make sure the bank draft / cheque of the

management company is attached with the

document

v. Send it over the drive-through counter via

the special route provided.

vi. Submit the document to the officer on duty.

Note: The drive-through method is only implemented

at the SSM headquarters. For SSM state and branch

offices, the dropbox concept is used in place of the

drive-through method.

How does the dropbox method works at the SSM state offices and branches?

All SSM state offices and branches nationwide will

prepare a dedicated box for the purpose of documents handover. The box will be located at the
main

entrance of our offices. It will be supervised by SSM

officers to ensure that customers perform the following steps:

i. Make sure the documents submitted are complete

ii. The statutory document of the company must

be placed in an envelope or a box.

iii. Fill in the sender’s information form and make


sure to include the company registration number. Stick the completed form on the envelope

cover or box.

iv. Make sure the bank draft / cheque of the management company is attached with the document

the dedicated box (dropbox)

7 How do customers make submissions using the registered post method?

Customers can follow these steps:

i. Make sure the documents submitted are

complete

ii. The statutory document of the company

must be placed in an envelope or a

box and labeled with the company’s registration number.

iii. Make sure the bank draft / cheque of the

management company is attached with the

document

v. Only use the services of registered post.
