Classification of Cgars

Cigars may be classified according to colour , size or as per process.

Cigars as per colour:

o Blonde / Claro/ CCC - Pale/ Light golden brown

o Colorado Claro/ CC - Medium Brown
o Colorado - Reddish brown
o Maduro - Rich dark brown
o Oscuro - Black
o Candella - Greenish Yellow

Cigars as per process

o Pressed cigars - are loosely bound filler wrapped and packed tightly therefore taking
shape from the box and these are generally squarish in shape .

o Unpressed cigars - have the filler wrapped firmly and it has a definite torpedo shape.

Cigars according to size

o Robustos 4.5 – 6.0

o Corona 5.0- 6.75
o Panatelas 4.5 – 7.5
o Lonsdale 6.0 – 6.75
o Corona Carona 6.75 – 8.50
o Churchill 6.25 – 8.0
o Presidentes 7.0 - 8.5
o Gigantes 7.5 – 10
o
