“How To Become A Successful

Entrepreneur?”

This question has been asked by a lot of aspirants during the 1st ABM Regional
Seminar cum Celebration of Talents. Invited speakers have defined and shared their
own secrets to success and if there is something common to their success story is that,
they love what they have invested in and that’s really on point. Investing in something
you love means you’ll have your one hundred percent interest to make it work. You are
more inspired in reaching its peak success.

At this young age, having or building our own business is very possible. As what
Mr. Bellman O. Milan said, students like us should start while we’re still young because
if we fail, we still have many years to recover. The generation Z should be job creators,
not job seekers. Educational system back then did not include financial literary that is
why we have the advantage and the opportunity to become an entrepreneur and to
build our own businesses. It is not the Central Bank that moves our economy, but it is
the entrepreneurs.

On the second thought, I have learned a lot more about the Bangko Sentral ng
Pilipinas and money matters. We should be more mindful to the other factors which
affect the business. Say for instance, how we are adapting to the inflation of our
resources, expenses and even our investments. We should have an eye on how to
diversify our assets to manage the inflation.

I have also learned a lot of strategies on how to make your own business
successful. Be creative as much as you can on the innovation of your own product.
Then you must know your target market. Who will be your market, is it the Millennial or
the generation X or Z? In this way, we know if we are providing the right products or
services to our end users. Location is also a must. Having the right product, direct end
users plus a marketable location is a winwin strategy on business. Business planning
and financial planning is also important if you want to put up a business. Being financial
literate is an advantage when it comes to business. If you fail to plan, you are planned
to fail.

The seminar also thought me camaraderie and teamwork through the activities
and one of the seminar’s highlight which is the socialization night. With the experience
we had, we are able to know more about our colleagues. Just like in business, knowing
and understanding thy employees or staff is essential. Your staff is the face of your
business. Without them, the business will be a one man team. Employees are not just
accessories rather they will add up to the success of the business.

Lastly, there is nothing like shortcuts to any success. This will not happen in just
a night. It pastes more time, energy and even love to make it work. We just need to
keep trying and growing for the highs and lows of the business tide.
