We have identified the types of emergencies that could affect our company and developed an
emergency plan and procedures to deal with them.
Our emergency plan identifies all potential emergency situations and the required responses
for each.
General emergencies caused by fire or natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods
i. Evacuation Plan
Evacuation route maps have been posted in the work area. The following information
is marked on evacuation maps:
1. Emergency exits
2. Primary and secondary evacuation routes
3. Location of fire extinguisher
4. Assembly points
1. Check the immediate area for signs of danger and remove or control it (if safe to do
so) to avoid further risk to the casualty and yourself.
2. Do not move a casualty unless they are exposed to a life-threatening situation.
3. If a serious injury or other medical emergency occurs, immediately call 193. It is best
to have the person calling for help is physically with the patient at the time the call is
made if at all possible. Be sure that information is provided to the dispatcher:
a. The age and gender of the patient. If you are unsure of the patient’s age,
estimate.
b. The location of the patient.
c. The nature of the medical emergency and whether or not the patient is
conscious and breathing.
d. Any other pertinent information, such as events leading up to the emergency
or known past medical history of the patient.

Defibrillation – To stop the rapid, irregular and unsynchronized contraction of the
muscle fibres of the heart.

evacuation of other employees and perform headcount:
