Todos/as: Dios todopoderoso, venimos a ti en oración, pidiéndote
perdón por todo lo que debimos hacer y que no hicimos, y por todo lo
que hemos hecho, que no debimos hacer.

Perdónanos por querer vivir en la rutina, por sentirnos

satisfechos/as con las cosas como siempre han sido. Perdona
nuestra inhabilidad de actuar por la justicia cuando sabemos que la
creación ha sido dañada.

Tú, que das aliento y espíritu a toda la creación, y que nos has
reclamado como tus hijos e hijas a través del bautismo, danos la
valentía para abrir las ventanas a la novedad. Derrama tu espíritu

ORACIÓN DEL PUEBLO (Book of Common Worship. Baptism of the Lord. P. 199)
Dios santo, tu enviaste a tu hijo a ser bautizado entre personas pecadoras para
que buscara y salvara a las que estaban perdidas. Te pedimos que quienes hemos
sido bautizados/as en tu nombre, no demos la espalda al mundo, sino que
podamos alcanzarlo en amor para rescatar a las personas perdidas. Te pedimos
hacer esto a través de la misericordia de Cristo nuestro Señor, quien vive y reina

All: Almighty God, we come to you in prayer asking forgiveness for
all that we have not done that we should have done and all that we
have done that we should not have done.

Forgive us our willingness to live in a rut, to be satisfied with how

things have always been. Forgive us our inability to act for justice
when we know your creation is being harmed.

You who give breath and spirit to all of creation, You who claim us
as your children through baptism, give us courage to throw open the
windows to newness. Pour out your spirit upon us. In the name of

Holy God, you sent your Son to be baptized among sinners, to seek and save the
lost. May we, who have been baptized in his name, never turn away from the
