•T
he SIA-B is an overcurrent protection relay with self powered and dual
50G Instantaneus measured
neutral overcurrent powered (Self-powering + Auxiliary power) options.

Inverse time measured •T

he relay is self powered using the operating current through three /1 (<2VA)
50/51G neutral overcurrent standard current transformers fitted on the lines. These transformers are also
used to obtain current measurements. Besides, SIA-B relay can be used with
46 Phase balance current auxiliary power supply (24-230 Vac/dc). The relay can be also supplied by
a USB cable connected to the laptop, with the USB KITCOM adapter or an
49 Thermal image
standard power bank.
CLP Cold Load Pick-up • Internal commissioning battery included. (Lithium battery: 20 years lifetime).
SHB Second Harmonic Blocking •M
icro USB front port connection (Modbus RTU protocol) for local
communication. Remote communication through rear RS485 port (Modbus
50BF Circuit Breaker opening RTU or DNP 3.0 selectable by general setting) as optional.
failure
• Configurable inputs and outputs.
52 Circuit Breaker monitoring
• Specific test menu is provided.
49T External Trip
• High electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
TB Trip Block for switch
disconnector •T
he installation and subsequent maintenance of external batteries is
eliminated. The operating costs of the centre are reduced.
68 Zone selection interlocking
•R
eally low start-up levels: 75 mA in three phase system /160 mA in single
PGC Programmable logic control phase system.
•T
he line opening mechanism is activated by means of a striker PRT, operated
by the energy supplied by the relay.
•4
configurable bistable LEDs. When the relay is switched off, their previous
states can be checked by powering the relay up (by self-powering the relay,
through USB cable, auxiliary voltage or pressing commissioning battery).

26
• Self diagnosis of the status (Watchdog) through leds and physical outputs.
• The SIA-B is fitted with the demand of current (Load Data Profiling) with the following characteristics:
Number of records: 168
Recording mode: circular
Sampling rate (interval): configurable through communications: 1-60 min.
• Stores up to 1024 events and DFR (20 fault reports in data format and 10 reports
in COMTRADE format) in Non-volatile RAM memory, maintaining date & time
thanks to its internal RTC (Real Time Clock) even without power supply.

Multiple options for powering and communication
