Mr. Riemenschneider died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Paul Reyer, last Wednesday afternoon. His funeral sermon was preached
by a German minister from Clare, at ten o'clock on Friday, and the remains were taken to Breckenridge for burial.

From the Gratiot County Herald dated March 20, 1930 (on microfilm at Alma Public Library) - Mrs. Paul Reyer Died Sunday After
Weeks' Illness - Mrs. Paul Reyer, age 70, died Sunday morning, March 16, after a week's illness. Anna Martha Riemenschneider was
born in Germany May 1, 1860, and immigrated to the States with her parents in 1882. They first settled in Westanaw county in
December of the same year, later moving to Gratiot county where she has lived ever since. She was united in marriage to Paul Reyer
in 1899 who preceded her in death 11 years ago. She leaves one son, Henry Reyer; three daughters, Mrs. John Hall, Mrs. J. Bush and
Erma at home; one sister, Mrs. Meyer; one brother, Mr. Riemenschneider; and sever grandchildren. She was a faithful member of the
Lutheran church, also the Ladies' Aid. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Lutheran church, the Rev. C. G. Leyrer
officiating. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Louis, Michigan.

"Not too well versed on the Riemenschneiders either. My father and his parents and two sisters came to America from Germany.
Don't know the name of the town they came from. Father was born October 11, about 1863. He was 17 when he came to America,
the first of his family. The parents and sisters came later. He wandered around the country and finally settled on a farm near St.
Louis. He was married at age 27 to my mother, Julia Woern, who was born February 29, 1873 in Redford, Michigan. She passed
away in Midland County, Michigan, March 12, 1923. There were 11 children, Henrietta, Henry, Carl, Paul, Ernest, Emma, Margaret,
Rex, Agnes, Fred and Esther. Father passed away in October 1932."

From Ann Arbor News dated Tuesday, April 4, 1950 - Mrs. Amelia Meyer (York Township Resident Passes at Age of 81)
Saline - Mrs. Amelia Meyer, widow of Michael Meyer, died this morning at her home, 1950 Willis Rd. in York township. She was
81. Mrs. Meyer was born June 13, 1868, in Germany and at the age of 13 came to United States with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Riemenschneider, settling on a farm near Bridgewater. Later the family moved to Gratiot county. She was married to Mr. Meyer on
May 6, 1890, in St. Louis, MO. The couple moved to the Saline neighborhood in 1913. Mr. Meyer died that same year. Mrs. Meyer
was a member of the St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church and the Ladies Aid Soviety of that church. She is survived by one
daughter, Mrs. Walter Acton of Milan; and one son, Ludwig Meyer, with whom she lived. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock
Thursday afternoon at the Lockwood Funeral Home, Rev. Alvin Siemsen officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

BLOOD POISONING CAUSE OF DEATH - Edison Street Woman ill but Brief Time with Complications
Death from blood poisoning resulting from a cut on one thumb complicated with pneumonia, came to Mrs. Henrietta Tatu, 30, wife of
Bert Tatu, of 56 Edison street, at midnight last night after a brief illness. The family came here recently from Mt. Pleasant. Surviving
are the husband and three children: Floyd, seven; Leo, five, and Harold, three; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Riemenschneider of
Sheperd, Mich.; and the following brothers and sisters: Henry A., Shepherd; Carl, Paul and Mrs. Emma Scribner of Pontiac; and
Ernest, Margaret, Agnes and Frederick of Shepherd. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Peterson and Mrs. Margaret Harper. Mr. Riemenschneider owned and
operated the Schneider Bump and Paint Shop in Pontiac for many years, was a member of the Pontiac First Free Methodist Church
and a Veteran of World War I. Funeral service will be Monday, July 12, 1982 at 11 a.m. from the Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home, Dr.
Joseph K. Kulaga and Rev. Clancy J. Thompson will officiate. Intombment will be in White Chapel Mausoleum. Friends may call at
the funeral home after 3 pm.

Ernie and his brother, Paul (K. Riemenschneider) were partners of a car dealership called "Riemenschneider Bros." that sold Dodge
cars and trucks, Dakotas, Plymouths and Strudabakers between the years of 1933 - 1957. Ernie loved the car business, he always wore
a suit and a tie and was known to roll up his sleeves and work along side-by-side with his mechanics fixing the cars. Ernie was the
type of guy who would give you the shirt off his back and helping others in need. Ernie is buried in Perry Mount Park Cemetery in
Pontiac, Michigan. Paul Jr. then took over the business along with his son-in-law, William A. Engelhart. The dealership was located
on 232 S. Saginaw in Pontiac, Michigan. Ernie and Belva's children attended Webster Elementary, Washington Junior High and

April 25, 1948 - Mrs. Ernest Riemenschneider and Mrs. Eleanor Mooneyham, of Pontiac, daughters of Marshall Cronk and sisters to
Mrs. Harry Klein, of Gladwin, were painfully hurt in an automobile accident on Sunday near Midland. Mr. and Mrs.
Riemenschneider, Mrs. Mooneyham and five children were driving west on M-10 when another car going sout on Eastman road side-
swiped them. Mrs. Riemenschneider is suffering from a fractured skull and a broken left shoulder, while her sister, Mrs. Mooneyham
received severe cuts on the leg and facial cuts and bruises. Both women are patients in the Midland Hospital. Mr. Riemenschneider
and the children all received minor cuts and bruises, they were not hospitalized. Their car was demolished.

Ernest Riemenschneider - Word has been received of the death of former Pontiac resident Ernest Riemenschneider of Phoenix,
Arizona. His body will be brought to Donelson-Johns Funeral Home for service and burial.

Milford - Service for Ernest L. Riemenschneider, 70, of 3165 Highland will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Donelson-Johns Funeral Home,
Pontiac. Mr. Riemenschneider died Monday. He was formerly partner in an auto dealership in Pontiac. Surviving are his wife,
Belva; four daughters, Mrs. Glenn Hagyard of Pontiac, Mrs. Carl Matheny of Milford, Mrs. John Batzloff of Clarkston and Mrs.
James Cartier of Waterford Township; a brother; three sisters; and 11 grandchildren.

A quiet, but pretty wedding took place Saturday, June 17, at the First Baptist church at Pontiac, when Miss Belvia Marion Cronk,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Cronk of Gladwin, became the bride of Ernest Riemenschneider of Pontiac. The bride wore a
gown of white satin. Her long tulle veil was held in place by a wreath of orange blossoms and she carried a bouquet of white roses
and baby breath. Miss Sarah Densmore attended her as maid of honor. She wore a gown of pink chiffon and carried pink roses. The
bridesmaids were Miss Mary Jacobs, Miss Lila Densmore, Miss Catherine Walsh, and Miss Eleanor Cronk. They wore the colors
green, yellow, pink and blue. Each carried a bouquet of roses. Fred Riemenschneider, brother of the groom, acted as best man. After
the ceremony a wedding supper was served to about 35 at their home at 59 Oscoda drive, Pontiac. The following guests from out of
town were present: Mr. and Mrs. Harry Klein and family, Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Cronk and son, Wayne of Gladwin, Mrs. and
Mrs.Charley Schribner and family and Mrs. Ralph Harper of Mt. Pleasant. Their many friends wish them a long and happy married
life. The newly-weds left for Niagara Falls and Northern Canada.
