2. Read the following text underlines all the verb phrase and analyze the aspect in each
case by stating wetter it is simple, progressive or perfective. Justify your answer theoretically.

Thanks for agreeing to look after my flat while I am away. I have cleaned the flat
thoroughly but as I have been working late all week, I haven’t had time to cook any food for
you. My dog, Rover, eats a tin of food every night and the plants need watering once a week.

6- Laura studies architecture at the National University of Cordoba. Indicative Mood.

The verb is indicating where she is studying.

7- I’m anxious that my daughter not be pressured into sitting too many exams this

year. Indicate Mood. This sentence shows the animus state with respect his

daughter.

8- Alice took her baby to the doctor. Indicate mood – the verb is “took” past of take.

9- I insisted that she apologize. Subjunctive Mood. The verb “insisted” past of insist.

10- It is essential that Jane receive hospital treatment immediately. Imperative Mood.
