Blank screen with only the standby light

on

most of the modern lcd and led tv's when the standby light lights but the tv does not switch
on especialy hisense samsung sansui etc .... means there is a problem on the power board
and a leaking or dry electrolytic capacitor could be the culprit , so in most cases if you can
work a soldering iron replace common capacitors like 1000uf 35v -470uf 35v -220uf 35v etc
it could cost you a mere R30 rsa for the lot, also check on thatt same board for high voltage
diodes that have a short circuit reading that prevents the power supply from switching on
