Sidra Medical and Research Centre is designed to create an architectural landmark in world of
healthcare and research. SMRCs vision is to attract talents from world over, with state of art
clinical and research facilities. The project was promoted by Qatar Foundation, conceptualized
by Pelli Clark Pelli and being executed by best known professional across the world.

SMRC- covers to huge; 350,000 Sq. Mt. of total area that includes the research & ancillary
support facilities and services with a budget of USD-4.5 Billion.

Hospital Building itself covers most of the area of 200,000 Sq. Mt. and designed to facilitate
550 Beds capacity that have possibility of future expansion up to 750 beds.

I was leading the project as design and technical architect, responsible to deliver not only
architectural part of core Hospital Building but also integration of building services, and on-site
construction coordination as well.

Hamad Medical City, a prestigious & ambitious project initiated by Govt. of Qatar.

The design was revolved around enabling the facility to house most advanced, and modern
healthcare services in Middle East region.

I was in-charge of Construction Documentation for three of total four hospitals. My core responsibility
was to prepare, coordinate, and deliver construction drawings, and documentation with the help of
internationally located teams, and guide construction teams to execute design intent that is built on
International Standards.

HMC was very large, dynamic, complex, and fast-track project with challenging deadlines to achieve
in large global team set-up that was involving multiple location, numerous consultants, fast pace
construction schedule that led the design team performing parallel activities and working with the
executive team at Indian location that I was personally managing it.

NEIGRIHMS, a prestigious project promoted by Government of India that was directly monitored by
Prime Ministers Office.
Very large project, sprawling in 300 Acre of remote site, budgeted for USD-4.8 B
The projects was to be built at very complex terrain that had overall height difference of 150 Meters.
Seven top contractors working simultaneously to complete the project in five years.
Complex is designed to cater entire North-Eastern part of India as apex referral center of healthcare
services and a hub of full-fledged range of medical needs catering all principle discipline of modern
medicine systems also to function as, top class education center and research studies.
I was leading the project architect responsible for life cycle of architectural design, involving tender,
construction documentation, project management, and on-site construction and execution
coordination.

Jai Prakash Narayan Trauma Center, a project dedicated to critical care.
Highly sophisticated healthcare facility intended to provide one stop apex centre for trauma care.
Complex is designed and linked to series of trauma centers (Separate Project Under Highway Trauma
Centers) across country located on strategic locations.
Apex Trauma Center is host of most advanced diagnostics & treatment facilities. With more than 500
bed in-patient capacity to start with and designed to accommodate 750 beds as future expansion.
The apex center is to ease out Indias most engaged health hub AIIMS & Safadarjung hospitals.
I was leading in capacity of deputy manager, was responsible for tendering and construction
documentation, project engineering and construction coordination.

Apollo Hospitals Enterprise : a very well known prestigious healthcare & research
organization decided to enter to the Mumbai region with a full-fledged international
standards super specialty hospital with ultra modern cancer care facility.
CBD Belapur - the site, is a node of Navi Mumbai, with a fairly vibrant CBD that is
moving some of the economy out of congested central Mumbai into the hinterland.
CBD; designed & developed to promote businesses. The site neighborhood is one
of the fastest developing class in region within Navi Mumbai . Easy connectivity is
an asset & catalyst to pump-up whole development.
Strict building bye laws, site profile, and architectural vision makes this state-or-the
art project unique and challenging.
The center is not only designed to cater CBD region but also to upper class
population with complete range of ultra-modern OPD, Operation, diagnostics,
treatment services including cancer diagnostics, and treatment.
With 48,000 Sq. Mt. of covered area, the building was conceived inside-out having
views from almost all indoor areas from the in-patient and public spaces.
I was leading as lead project architect responsible for architectural life cycle of
delivery through business development to conceptual evolution and its execution.

Facility to host all basic range of requirements under one roof like, OPD Services,
Diagnostics Services, Operation, Maternity & childcare services, inpatient services
and low level referral services.
52,000 Sq. Mt. of covered area, designed to accommodate future requirements and
expandable for handling 150-Bed inpatient capacity with staff housing and a
clubhouse.

NIUM was Complex project right from its inception; in terms of identifying requirements &
needs also the site profile itself for putting up the idea in to reality.

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Post Graduate Institute was conceptualized to modernize the
existing facility as a total revamp: design, infrastructure & technology, most modern
research & development facility.
RML PGI site is within the vicinity of historically important heritage building as well has the
visual link to Presidential House of India.
The hospital caters to the VVIP personalities as well as to the general public.
The project has been designed with most modern material to achieve both purpose and
intent to have a separation as well.

Dental college AIIMS is a high end specialty healthcare centre.
Designed to respond to the modern architectural style, first project towards implementation of AIIMS
re-development master plan guidelines. The project is to set up guidelines for rest of developments
for the whole master plan redevelopment.
Atrium, plaza, glass faade, high end HVAC and bold architectural expressions are key drivers to
the project conceptualization.
Project has two level of basements to accommodate services as well as parking.
Central corridor to serve as main artillery for central circulation within floor.

Yoga, an alternate route to live healthy, Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga is a project
conceived by a central governing body of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and
Homeopathy).
AYUSH, planned to develop apex centre to promote Indian medicines through few
national centers. MDNIY is one of the initial projects.
MDNIY is an ultra modern development to provide array of yoga facility.
The core of the project design is nature, inside out. Large spiritual spaces and calm.
Manoj , as an deputy lead architect was instrumental to deliver the project through
concept, tender, construction and on-site coordination during execution.

Manoj has not only worked at core hospital, healthcare and institutional projects, he has
varied experience in other specialized areas of healthcare laboratories are one the areas.
He has been instrumental in several labs designs and as well as constructions. National
Institute of Biology, a top class highly sophisticated laboratory project designed to serve
whole India. The project has been incepted by an American architect and was conceived to
be state of art facility to the best of the worlds standards of Cat.BSL-3 at that point of time.

Food & Drug testing laboratories projects are initiated by Govt. of India in order to revamp
the whole system across India. New Delhi being the head quarters all centers, right from
smallest like 120 Sq. Mt. to the biggest one like regional head quarters are redesigned
towards total revamp. There were about 48 such projects all over India.
Manoj being In charge of whole project, he has been coordinating all of them right from requirement finalization,
client interactions, concept evolution, tendering, construction documentation and execution.

Hospitals and hotels are often compared in architectural understanding as they bear similar
complexity in terms of services. Though Hospitals are more oriented towards hygiene whereas hotels
are more leaned towards esthetics.

Manoj, has been involved in few large-scale hotel projects, Wine Street 7-Star hotel at Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania is one of them where he worked as MEP coordinating architect for in house MEP
assignment.

A, 4-Star Hotel complex at Al-Marsa Floating city is another one where he has been involved through
design evolution and construction documentation. He has also been instrumental in Doha Palace
hotel at Qatar. He has also done few small scale interiors for Sea-Food restaurant at Dubai, UAE.

VIP Guest house at Hyderabad was one the project where he worked in context with Business
Development.

He has also been a core member of a team working for Al-Shamal Sports complex, that had critically
challenging deadline to open for Doha, Asian Games in 2006-07

Wine street Hotel is 7-star hotel in USA, Manoj worked on this
project as coordinating architect for MEP service.

Floating city is built on manmade island, Manoj has been in to
as lead architect for commercial development including
commercial complex, hotel, studio flats, multi-level parking &
deck developments in association with Middle East Architects,
Bahrain.
Residential developments usually comes bundled with
large scale hospital & institutional projects, Manoj has
been involved for various such residential projects i.e.
Staff housing for NEIGRIHMS, VMMC, NIUM, National
Institute of Siddha, Raigarh Medical College etc.
Manoj has been also a key player for major independent
housing developments, such as Prestige-Bangalore, M-
Far premium housing, Eroor-Cochin, Barwa-Fast Track
housing, Doha, Qatar, Private residential development at
Coimbatore .
He has a fair good knowledge to this sector of domain
which has been backed up by his personal experience
for quite successful projects also through few take home
business development projects.
Manoj has been involved from a small scale residential
projects like a bungalow to large scale developments like
townships.
He has fair experience in both low rise and multi- storey
housing.
Manoj has good knowledge about prefabricated steel
structures from Barwa fast track housing, where the
entire project was built on this concept.

Apart from the core competence Manoj has been always open to challenges he has
been involved with few reputed architectural projects in other categories, conference
& convention centers are one of them.

He has been involved right from concept development till execution at NIMHANS,
Bangalore. It is a convention complex consist of 3 auditoriums with total serving
capacity of 500 viewers.

International convention center is high rise building proposed for 100+ floors,
supposed to be one of the Indias tallest tower including offices, residential,
commercial and mixed-use development along with its core use. Manoj was
coordinating lead architect for this business development project.

He also played similar role for mixed use township project at Hyderabad.

ITC, Thanadavpura, Mysore, is important to mention here as it was a totally different project
what has been assigned to Manoj.

ITC, planned to expand their tobacco green leaf processing plan and they conceived this
project. Manoj as a lead design architect was solely responsible for this competitive project.

The design approach adopted for this project was totally different and intendment to create
an environment which more feels green than an conventional industry.

He presented the conceptual idea to ITC along with few already reputed architects. With no
previous experience Manoj took this project to next level as client liked the idea and
shortlisted for next level of development, and was quite promising to get the business in.
