VCE MATHEMATICS DAY OUT

This full day VCE mini conference includes both Meet the Assessors and SAC workshops in all three studies - Further,
Methods and Specialist Mathematics. Workshop participants will receive a copy of the MAV solutions to the 2018 VCAA
Exam and a copy of the MAV SACs relevant to the workshops attended. Morning tea and lunch are included.
Workshop fee: $305 (members), $382 (non-members)

MEET THE ASSESSORS SACS

Assessors will discuss the processes for setting
and marking the 2018 examinations. The
presenters will provide a full analysis of the 2018
examinations highlighting student responses and key
misunderstandings. Assessors will comment on some of
the questions in relation to the Revised Study Design.
There will be time for questions and discussion.
Participants will be provided with a copy of fully worked
MAV solutions to the VCAA exams for the relevant
session.
Fee: $97 (members), $121 (non-members)
SAC workshops provide opportunities for teachers of
VCE to be presented with and discuss possible starting
points for SACs for their students. Participants will be
provided with a selection of Application and Modelling
and Problem Solving Tasks as suggested SAC starting
points for the study of workshop choice. The process of
developing appropriate tasks, including criteria mapping
and the inclusion of technology will be discussed with
specific reference to the sample task provided in the
sessions.
