’ [ower growing with fine texture , good colour and density. It is the most attractive and the highest
quality turfgrass of warm climatic regions. It is a spreading type grass having both stolons and
rhizomes and has extensive and deep root system.
’ Bermudagrass has excellent tolerance for heat , drought , salt and wear , but shade and cold tolerance
are poor. It can grow on a wide range of soil types but is best adapted to fertile, fine-textured soils
with pH ranging from 5.5 to 7.5 .
