Mid-SIP Report

About Internship:

As part of my responsibilities as “Business Development Intern” I am expected to actively seek out new sales
opportunities through telemarketing, networking and social media marketing. The position requires me to
actively generate leads, prepare and deliver appropriate pitch for the services provided by the company and close
deals with potential customer.
My job is to act as a bridge between the company and its current & future customers and provide complete
support to the potential business clients. This profile majorly depends on making cold calls and follow up calls
to hot leads and to on-board campus ambassadors for different colleges who in turn generate more leads for
future conversion.

Progress Report:

I have been assigned the task of lead generation and conversion through telemarketing. My working days are
Saturday to Thursday, 11am-8pm. As a telemarketer my job is to contact students of various engineering and
management colleges and provide them with an overview of our internship program. These leads are usually
generated by social media advertisements or by database provided by various tie-up institute tech-fests.
We provide these students with the opportunity of working as a Campus Ambassador which entitles them to
certification and target based stipend. These CAs work as our point of contact to the students of that particular
colleges and generate potential leads by means of circulating WhatsApp messages which contain google forms
and link to join WhatsApp groups which are formed by me.

Once the potential leads have shown an interest in the program it is my task to contact each and every lead
through tele-calling and give them a detailed information about our services and clarify their queries about the
same. As I am also responsible for conversion of the leads I am required to keep a constant touch with the leads
and follow up with them. The conversion is done through registering online and the verification of the same is
done by getting a screen capture of payment receipt from the customer.
This circle of CA on boarding and lead conversion is completed within 2-3days in order to create a sense of
urgency and to reach out to as many potential leads as possible. Upon conversion the customers are contacted by
the on boarding team and my task is finished till there however in case the customer faces any issues they
usually contact me as I have been their bridge to the company and in that case I have to make sure that their
queries and responded to and solved at the earliest.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic there has been a decline in the interest for the program as many colleges and
institutions have started providing their own internship and certification programs. However, the brand that
Verzeo has created has managed to get responses from potential clients who are looking to upskill themselves.
The support from the team that I am a part of and my superiors has been of great value to me and has enabled me
to understand the demands of the clients and how to fulfil them.

I look forward to contributing to the organisation’s mission to provide AI-enabled real-time insights with the
resolution of reaching a broad community of individuals to help acquire skills that they want and gain a great
deal of learning in the process of doing so.
