To Whom It May Concern:

I have had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Kevin Helfers for two years as a student in my Honors United States
History class and Honors Government & Economics class at Foothills Christian High School. During these
past two years, Kevin has continually exhibited a genuine enthusiasm to learn which is a truly unusual
characteristic for a young man of his age.

Having worked in the classroom for over seven years, I feel confident in saying that Kevin is by far one of the
most dedicated and diligent students I have ever had the pleasure to instruct. As previously stated, Mr. Helfers’
work ethic is truly unparalleled. However, it is his intrinsically based motivation to succeed that sets Kevin apart
as a student. He is undaunted by challenges and actually thrives in high-pressure situations both in the
classroom and on the field as an athlete.

Mr. Helfers has participated in Foothills Christian High School’s Football, Soccer, and Lacrosse programs
where he has won numerous awards as well as received athletic distinction. Kevin has been ​Team Captai​n of
FCHS’ Men’s Soccer Team since his Sophmore year and was designated ​CIF Second Team All-League​ his
Junior year. He has also served as one of the Captains of FCHS’ Football Team since his Sophomore year in
2017. Moreover, Kevin was designated ​CIF First Team All-League​ his Junior year on FCHS’ Men’s Lacrosse
team, where he was voted ​Offensive Player of the Year​ and ​Leading Goal Scorer ​two years in a row.

Finally, Kevin has routinely demonstrated these characteristics both within my classroom and as an active
participant in a myriad of community service based organizations. For instance, Kevin was a Child Care
Assistant from 2016 to the present and is currently training to become a Counselor at the ​Whispering Winds
Family Camp​. This camp specifically serves families with children who have special needs by providing
“families of all ages and stages to a peaceful place where they can enjoy quality time together while having fun
growing in their faith” (​https://whisperingwinds.org/​). In addition to working at ​Whispering Winds​, Kevin has also
participated in numerous Homeless Outreach Ministries as well as served on a Mexico Relief Trip in 2019
where he helped to build homes for people in financial distress.

Ultimately, it has been a pleasure watching Mr. Kevin Helfers mature as both a student and a man of God. I
sincerely believe that Kevin will be an asset to any scholastic organization or academic institution fortunate
enough to have him as a member or student. Therefore Mr. Kevin Helfers has my highest endorsement.
