Music: Practice everyday!

1. Rhythm Drills
Here are videos that you can practice along:
https://youtu.be/cHad-I5AJT0
https://youtu.be/WIxq-1a_810
https://youtu.be/yTUXC_O2FI8

Clap the rhythm and say the rhythm syllables. Use the syllables
that we learned in class. Identify the rhythm that you find
somewhat difficult, go back to it again until you get it right.

2. “This Old Man”

Practice everyday. To monitor your progress, take a video of your
practice time. When you practice, you must:
- Include rhythm: clapping and syllables.
- Make sure that you are in correct posture.
- Be mindful of your recorder tone (remember the “too” sound).
- Identify the parts of the piece where you are having some
difficulty; spend more time with it. Once you get it right,
you may start practicing from the beginning to the end.
- Identify the parts that are the SAME; it’s easier to memorize
this way.

3. Submit your best practice video.

Your video must not be longer than 5 minutes. Submit on or before
April 14, Tuesday.
