TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

This project presents the technical solution for the development of the project.

This will serve a guide for the capstone project.

Software and Hardware Requirements

The hardware specification refers to the peripherals needed in the implementation

of the system while the software specification refers to the application software used in

the development of the system.

Table 11 shows the hardware requirements used during the development of the

project. It includes the specification of the system unit, memory, hard disk drive, mouse,

keyboard and monitor.

The following software listed above are the main software use to develop the

Online Customizable Class Record System.

Microsoft Windows 7 or Higher is the operating system that must be installed in a

system to run all the software and application needed in the development of the

project.PHP it is a tool mostly used in developing windows form applications. MySql

Server 2008 a database management system that allows storing and retrieving data as

requested by other software applications; be it on the same computer or those running

from different computers.

In developing the system the developer use Xampp 2.5.8 that include a web server

Apache 2.2, PHP version 5.2.0 for the scripting language, MySql 5.0 for the database

management system that can store a lot data and Web Browser ( Google Chrome, Mozilla

Firefox, Internet Explorer) for the testing and access to online.

Table 14 shows the minimum software requirements used in system’s operation

such as windows 7.

The advantage of Online Customizable Class Record System for College of

Hospitality Management Business Administration and Computing in Pangasinan State
University San Carlos Campus is to view, add and edit the basic Information About the
employee and of the student such as the name of students, address, contact number and
etc. And the students have capability to view their grade via online.
