 SAFETY INFORMATION
Before the installation and use of the appliance, carefully read the
supplied instructions. The manufacturer is not responsible if an
incorrect installation and use causes injuries and damages.
Always keep the instructions with the appliance for future
reference.
CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE PEOPLE SAFETY
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and
above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Do not let children play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children
without supervision.
• Keep all packaging away from children.
GENERAL SAFETY
• This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar
applications such as:
– Farm houses; staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other
working environments
– By clients in hotels, motels, bed and breakfast and other
residential type environments
• Keep ventilation openings, in the appliance enclosure or in the
built-in structure, clear of obstruction.
• Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate
the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the
manufacturer.
• Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
• Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage
compartments of the appliance, unless they are of the type
recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not use water spray and steam to clean the appliance.

• Clean the appliance with a moist soft cloth. Only use neutral
detergents. Do not use abrasive products, abrasive cleaning
pads, solvents or metal objects.
• Do not store explosive substances such as aerosol cans with a
flammable propellant in this appliance.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, its Authorised Service Centre or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
INSTALLATION
WARNING! Only a qualified person
must install this appliance.
• Remove all the packaging.
• Do not install or use a damaged appliance.
• Obey the installation instruction supplied with
the appliance.
• Always be careful when you move the appliance
because it is heavy. Always wear safety gloves.
• Make sure the air can circulate around the
appliance.
• Wait at least 4 hours before connecting the
appliance to the power supply. This is to allow
the oil to flow back in the compressor.
• Do not install the appliance close to radiators or
cookers, oven or hobs.
• The rear of the appliance must stand against the
wall.
• Do not install the appliance where there is direct
sunlight.
• Do not install this appliance in areas that are too
humid or too colds, such as the construction
appendices, garages or wine cellars.
• When you move the appliance, lift it by the front
edge to avoid scratching the floor.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
WARNING! Risk of fire and electrical
shock.
• The appliance must be earthed.
• Make sure that the electrical information on the
rating plate agrees with the power supply. If not,
contact an electrician.
• Always use a correctly installed shockproof
socket.
• Do not use multi-plug adapters and extension
cables.
• Make sure not to cause damage to the electrical
components (e.g. mains plug, mains cable,
compressor). Contact the Authorised Service
Centre or an electrician to change the electrical
components.
• The mains cable must stay below the level of the
mains plug.
• Connect the mains plug to the mains socket
only at the end of the installation. Make sure that
there is access to the mains plug after the
installation.
• Do not pull the mains cable to disconnect the
appliance. Always pull the mains plug.
USE
WARNING! Risk of injury, burns,
electrical shock or fire.
• Do not change the specification of this
appliance.
• Do not put electrical appliances (e.g. ice cream
makers) in the appliance unless they are stated
applicable by the manufacturer.
• Be careful not to cause damage to the
refrigerant circuit. It contains isobutane (R600a),
a natural gas with a high level of environmental
compatibility. This gas is flammable.
• If damage occurs to the refrigerant circuit, make
sure that there are no flames and sources of
ignition in the room. Ventilate the room.
• Do not let hot items to touch the plastic parts of
the appliance.
• Do not put soft drinks in the freezer
compartment. This will create pressure on the
drink container.
• Do not store flammable gas and liquid in the
appliance.
• Do not put flammable products or items that are
wet with flammable products in, near or on the
appliance.

• Do not remove or touch items from the freezer
compartment if your hands are wet or damp.
• Do not freeze again food that has been thawed.
• Obey the storage instructions on the packaging

DAILY USE

INITIAL POWER ON
CAUTION! Before inserting the power
plug in to the outlet and switching on
the cabinet for the first time, leave the
appliance standing upright for at least
4 hours. This will assure a sufficient
amount of time for the oil to return to
the compressor. Otherwise the
compressor or electronic components
may sustain damage.
STORAGE OF FROZEN FOOD
When first starting-up or after a period out of use,
let the appliance run at least 2 hours before putting
products in the freezer compartment.
The freezer baskets ensure that it is quick and easy
to find the food packages you want. If large
quantities of food are to be stored, remove all
drawers except for the bottom basket which
secures good air circulation.
It is possible to place food that protrudes 15 mm
from the door on all shelves except the top one.
In the event of accidental defrosting,
for example due to a power failure, if
the power has been off for longer that
the value shown in the technical
characteristics chart under "rising
time", the defrosted food must be
consumed quickly or cooked
immediately and then re-frozen (after
cooling).
FREEZING FRESH FOOD
The freezer compartment is suitable for freezing
fresh food and storing frozen and deep-frozen food
for a long time.

If the ambient temperature is high or
the appliance is fully loaded, and the
appliance is set to a low temperature,
it may cause frost to form on the rear
wall. In this case, set the temperature
regulator to a higher temperature to
allow automatic defrosting and
reduced energy consumption.
To freeze fresh foods it is not necessary to change
the medium setting.
However, for a faster freezing operation, turn the
temperature regulator toward higher settings to
obtain the maximum coldness.
In this condition, the refrigerator
compartment temperature might drop
below 0°C. If this occurs reset the
temperature regulator to a warmer
setting.
Place the fresh food to be frozen in the bottom
compartment.
The maximum amount of food that can be frozen in
24 hours is specified on the rating plate, a label
located on the inside of the appliance.
The freezing process lasts 24 hours: during this
period do not add other food to be frozen.
THAWING
Deep-frozen or frozen food, prior to being used,
can be thawed in the refrigerator compartment or at
room temperature, depending on the time available
for this operation.
Small pieces may even be cooked still frozen,
directly from the freezer: in this case, cooking will
take longer.
MOVABLE SHELVES
The walls of the refrigerator are equipped with a
series of runners so that the shelves can be
positioned as desired.
POSITIONING THE DOOR SHELVES
To permit storage of food packages of various
sizes, the door shelves can be placed at different
heights.
Gradually pull the shelf in the direction of the
arrows until it comes free, then reposition as
required.

The low temperature compartment is suitable for
storing fresh food like fish, meat, seafood, because

NORMAL OPERATING SOUNDS
The following sounds are normal during operation:
• A faint gurgling and bubbling sound from coils
sound when refrigerant is pumped.
• A whirring and pulsating sound from the
compressor when refrigerant is pumped.
• A sudden cracking noise from inside appliance
caused by thermic dilatation (a natural and not
dangerous physical phenomenon).
• A faint click noise from the temperature
regulator when the compressor switches on or
off.
HINTS FOR ENERGY SAVING
• Do not open the door frequently or leave it open
longer than absolutely necessary.

The freezing baskets have a limit stop to prevent
their accidental removal or falling out. At the time of
its removal from the freezer, pull the basket towards
yourself and, upon reaching the end point, remove
the basket by tilting its front upwards.
At the time of putting it back, slightly lift the front of
the basket to insert it into the freezer. Once you are
over the end points, push the baskets back in their
position.

• If the ambient temperature is high and the
Temperature Regulator is set to low temperature
and the appliance is fully loaded, the
compressor may run continuously, causing frost
or ice on the evaporator. If this happens, set the
Temperature Regulator toward warmer settings
to allow automatic defrosting and so a saving in
electricity consumption.
HINTS FOR FRESH FOOD REFRIGERATION
To obtain the best performance:
• do not store warm food or evaporating liquids in
the refrigerator
• do cover or wrap the food, particularly if it has a
strong flavour
• position food so that air can circulate freely
around it

HINTS FOR REFRIGERATION
Useful hints:
• Meat (all types): wrap in a suitable packaging
and place it on the glass shelf above the
vegetable drawer. Store meat for at most 1-2
days.
• Cooked foods, cold dishes: cover and place on
any shelf.
• Fruit and vegetables: clean thoroughly and
place in a special drawer. Bananas, potatoes,
onions and garlic must not be kept in the
refrigerator if not packed.
• Butter and cheese: place in a special airtight
container or wrap in an aluminium foil or a
polythene bag to exclude as much air as
possible.
• Bottles: close with a cap and place on the door
bottle shelf, or (if available) on the bottle rack.
HINTS FOR FREEZING
To help you make the most of the freezing process,
here are some important hints:
• the maximum quantity of food which can be
frozen in 24 hours is shown on the rating plate;
• the freezing process takes 24 hours no further
food to be frozen should be added during this
period;
• freeze only top quality, fresh and thoroughly
cleaned, foodstuffs;
• prepare food in small portions to enable it to be
rapidly and completely frozen and to make it

PERIODIC CLEANING
The equipment has to be cleaned regularly:
• clean the inside and accessories with lukewarm
water and some neutral soap.
• regularly check the door seals and wipe clean to
ensure they are clean and free from debris.

Never use detergents, abrasive
powders, highly perfumed cleaning
products or wax polishes to clean the
interior as this will damage the surface

• wrap up the food in aluminium foil or polythene
and make sure that the packages are airtight;
• do not allow fresh, unfrozen food to touch food
which is already frozen, thus avoiding a rise in
temperature of the latter;
• lean foods store better and longer than fatty
ones; salt reduces the storage life of food;
• water ices, if consumed immediately after
removal from the freezer compartment, can
possibly cause the skin to be freeze burnt;
• it is advisable to show the freezing in date on
each individual pack to enable you to keep tab
of the storage time.
HINTS FOR STORAGE OF FROZEN FOOD
To obtain the best performance from this appliance,
you should:
• make sure that the commercially frozen
foodstuffs were adequately stored by the
retailer;
• be sure that frozen foodstuffs are transferred
from the foodstore to the freezer in the shortest
possible time;
• not open the door frequently or leave it open
longer than absolutely necessary;
• once defrosted, food deteriorates rapidly and
cannot be refrozen;
• do not exceed the storage period indicated by
the food manufacturer.
The lowest shelf, dividing the cooler compartment
from the 0°C compartment can be removed only for
cleaning. To remove it pull out the shelf straight.
The cover plates above the drawers in the
compartment can be taken out for cleaning.
To ensure the best performance of the
0°C compartment the lowest shelf and
cover plates must be put back in their
original position after cleaning.
DEFROSTING OF THE REFRIGERATOR
Frost is automatically eliminated from the
evaporator of the refrigerator compartment every
time the motor compressor stops, during normal
use. The defrost water drains out through a trough
into a special container at the back of the
appliance, over the motor compressor, where it
evaporates.
It is important to periodically clean the defrost water
drain hole in the middle of the refrigerator
compartment channel to prevent the water
overflowing and dripping onto the food inside.
DEFROSTING THE FREEZER
A certain amount of frost will always
form on the freezer shelves and around
the top compartment. Defrost the
freezer when the frost layer reaches a
thickness of about 3-5 mm. Defrosting
can be accelerated by placing bowls
with hot water (not boiling) inside the
freezer.
CAUTION! Never use sharp metal
tools to scrape off frost from the
evaporator as you could damage it. Do
not use a mechanical device or any
artificial means to speed up the
thawing process other than those
recommended by the manufacturer. A
temperature rise of the frozen food
packs, during defrosting, may shorten
their safe storage life.
1. Switch off the appliance and pull out the plug
from the wall socket.
2. Remove any stored food, wrap it in several
layers of newspaper and put it in a cool place.
3. Remove the freezer drawers.

PERIODS OF NON-OPERATION
When the appliance is not in use for long periods,
take the following precautions:
1. Disconnect the appliance from electricity
supply.
2. Remove all food.
3. Defrost (if necessary) and clean the appliance
and all accessories.
4. Clean the appliance and all accessories.
5. Leave the door/doors open to prevent
unpleasant smells.
WARNING! If you want to keep the
appliance switched on, ask somebody
to check it once in a while to prevent
the food inside from spoiling in case of
a power failure.

ERSTES EINSCHALTEN
ACHTUNG! Bevor Sie den Stecker in
die Wandsteckdose stecken und das
Gerät zum ersten Mal einschalten,
lassen Sie es mindestens 4 Stunden
aufrecht stehen. Diese Zeit ist
ausreichend, damit das Öl in den
Kompressor zurückfließen kann.
Anderenfalls können der Kompressor
oder elektronische Bauteile
beschädigt werden.
LAGERN VON GEFRORENEN
LEBENSMITTELN
Lassen Sie das Gerät bei der ersten
Inbetriebnahme oder wenn das Gerät einige Zeit
nicht benutzt wurde, mindestens 2 Stunden lang
eingeschaltet, bevor Sie Lebensmittel in den
Gefrierraum hineingeben.
Die Gefrierkörbe ermöglichen eine übersichtliche
Lagerung und schnelles Auffinden Ihrer
Lebensmittel. Wenn große Mengen an
Lebensmitteln gelagert werden sollen, können die
Schubladen herausgenommen werden. Nur der
unterste Korb, der eine ausreichende Luftzirkulation
gewährleistet, sollte an seinem Platz verbleiben.
Es ist auf allen Ablagen - mit Ausnahme der
obersten Ablage - möglich, Lebensmittel bis zu
einem Abstand von 15 mm zur Tür einzulagern.
Ist die Umgebungstemperatur hoch
oder das Gerät voll beladen, dieses
aber auf eine niedrigste Temperatur
eingestellt, so kann an der Rückwand
zu Reifbildung kommen. In diesem Fall
muss eine höhere Temperatur mit dem
Temperaturregler eingestellt werden,
die ein automatisches Abtauen
ermöglicht und damit auch einen
niedrigeren Energieverbrauch.
Kam es zum Beispiel durch einen
Stromausfall, der länger dauerte als
der in der Tabelle mit den technischen
Daten angegebene Wert (siehe
„Lagerzeit bei Störung“) zu einem
ungewollten Abtauen, dann müssen
die aufgetauten Lebensmittel sehr
rasch verbraucht oder sofort gekocht
und nach dem Abkühlen erneut
eingefroren werden.
EINFRIEREN FRISCHER LEBENSMITTEL
Der Gefrierraum eignet sich zum Einfrieren von
frischen Lebensmitteln und zum längerfristigen
Lagern von bereits gefrorenen und tiefgefrorenen
Lebensmitteln.
Für das Einfrieren frischer Lebensmittel ist eine
Änderung der mittleren Einstellung nicht
erforderlich.
Möchten Sie den Gefriervorgang beschleunigen,
drehen Sie den Temperaturregler auf eine höhere
Einstellung, um die maximal mögliche Kühlung zu
erreichen.
Unter diesen Umständen kann die
Temperatur im Kühlschrank unter 0 °C
fallen. Ist dies der Fall, stellen Sie den
Temperaturregler auf eine wärmere
Einstellung.
Legen Sie die frischen, einzufrierenden
Lebensmittel in das unterste Fach.
Die maximale Menge an Lebensmitteln, die
innerhalb von 24 Stunden eingefroren werden
kann, ist auf dem im Inneren des Geräts
befindlichen Typenschild angegeben.
Der Gefriervorgang dauert 24 Stunden: legen Sie
während dieses Zeitraums keine weiteren
einzufrierenden Lebensmittel in das Gerät.

ABTAUEN
Tiefgefrorene oder gefrorene Lebensmittel können
vor der Verwendung je nach der zur Verfügung
stehenden Zeit im Kühlschrank oder bei
Raumtemperatur aufgetaut werden.
Kleinere Gefriergutteile können sogar direkt aus
dem Gefriergerät entnommen und anschließend
sofort gekocht werden. In diesem Fall dauert der
Garvorgang allerdings etwas länger.

VERSTELLBARE ABLAGEN NIEDERTEMPERATURFACH

Die Wände des Kühlschranks sind mit einer Reihe
von Führungsschienen ausgestattet, die
verschiedene Möglichkeiten für das Einsetzen der
Ablagen bieten.
Das Niedertemperaturfach ist eine Kühlzone, die zur
Aufbewahrung von frischen Lebensmitteln wie
Fisch, Fleisch und Meeresfrüchten geeignet ist, da
die Temperatur hier niedriger ist als im restlichen
Kühlschrank.

Folgende Geräusche sind während des normalen

• Ein Surren und ein pulsierendes Geräusch vom
Kompressor, wenn das Kältemittel durch die

• Ein plötzliches Knackgeräusch aus dem
Geräteinneren, verursacht durch thermische
Ausdehnung (eine natürliche und nicht
gefährliche physikalische Erscheinung).
• Leises Klicken des Temperaturreglers, wenn
sich der Kompressor ein- oder ausschaltet.
ENERGIESPARTIPPS
• Öffnen Sie die Tür nicht zu häufig, und lassen
Sie diese nicht länger offen als notwendig.
• Wenn die Umgebungstemperatur hoch ist, der
Temperaturregler auf eine niedrige Temperatur
eingestellt und das Gerät voll beladen ist, kann
es zu andauerndem Betrieb des Kompressors
und damit zu Reif- oder Eisbildung am
Verdampfer kommen. Stellen Sie in diesem Fall

beliebigen Ablage ein.
• Obst und Gemüse: Gründlich reinigen und in

Bananen, Kartoffeln, Zwiebeln und Knoblauch
sollten im Kühlschrank nicht unverpackt
aufbewahrt werden.
• Butter und Käse: Diese sollten stets in
speziellen luftdichten Behältern verpackt sein
oder in Aluminiumfolie bzw. in lebensmittelechte
Tüten eingepackt werden, um so wenig Luft wie
möglich in der Verpackung zu haben.
• Flaschen: Sie sollten mit Deckel in der
Flaschenablage in der Tür oder im
Flaschenhalter (falls vorhanden) aufbewahrt
werden.

• Der Gefriervorgang dauert 24 Stunden, legen
Sie während dieses Zeitraums keine weiteren
einzufrierenden Lebensmittel in das Gerät.
• Frieren Sie ausschließlich frische und gründlich
gewaschene Lebensmittel von sehr guter
Qualität ein.
• Teilen Sie die Lebensmittel in kleinere Portionen
ein, damit diese schnell und vollständig
gefrieren und Sie später nur die Menge auftauen
müssen, die Sie benötigen.
• Verpacken Sie die einzufrierenden

keinen Kontakt mit Gefriergut bekommen, da

• Magere Lebensmittel lassen sich besser und
länger als fetthaltige lagern; durch Salz wird die
maximale Lagerungsdauer verkürzt.
• Wird Wassereis direkt nach der Entnahme aus
dem Gefrierfach verzehrt, kann dies zu
Frostbrand auf der Haut führen.
• Es empfiehlt sich, das Einfrierdatum auf jeder
einzelnen Packung zu notieren, um einen
genauen Überblick über die Lagerzeit zu haben.

USO DELL'APPARECCHIATURA

almeno 4 ore. In questo modo l'olio

contrario il compressore o i
componenti elettronici potrebbero
riportare dei danni.
CONSERVAZIONE DEI SURGELATI
Al primo avvio o dopo un periodo di inutilizzo si
consiglia di lasciare in funzione l'apparecchiatura
per almeno 2 ore, prima di introdurre gli alimenti nel
vano congelatore.
I cestelli del congelatore consentono di individuare
rapidamente e facilmente la confezione di alimenti
desiderata. Se occorre conservare grandi quantità
di cibo, si consiglia di rimuovere tutti i cassetti ad
eccezione del cestello inferiore, la cui presenza è
necessaria per assicurare la buona circolazione
dell'aria.
È possibile sistemare il cibo che sporge 15 mm
dalla porta su tutti i ripiani tranne su quello
superiore.
In caso di sbrinamento accidentale,
per esempio a causa di un'interruzione
dell'alimentazione elettrica, se
l'alimentazione manca per un periodo
superiore al valore indicato nella
tabella dei dati tecnici sotto "Tempo di
risalita", il cibo scongelato deve essere
consumato rapidamente o cucinato
immediatamente e quindi ricongelato
(dopo il raffreddamento).

Se la temperatura ambiente è elevata
o l'apparecchiatura è a pieno carico,
l'impostazione alla temperatura minima
può causare la formazione di brina
sulla parete posteriore. In questo caso,
impostare il regolatore di temperatura
su una posizione più elevata per
consentire lo sbrinamento automatico
e ridurre così il consumo di energia.
CONGELAMENTO DI ALIMENTI FRESCHI
Il vano congelatore è adatto al congelamento di cibi
freschi e alla conservazione a lungo termine di
alimenti congelati e surgelati.
Per congelare i cibi freschi è possibile mantenere la
regolazione media.
Tuttavia, per ottenere un congelamento più rapido,
è possibile impostare il regolatore di temperatura a
un livello più alto per aumentare l'intensità di
raffreddamento.
In questa condizione la temperatura
del vano frigorifero potrebbe scendere
al di sotto di 0°C. Qualora ciò
accadesse, è necessario reimpostare
la temperatura a un livello più alto.
Riporre i cibi freschi da congelare nello scomparto
inferiore.
La quantità massima di alimenti congelabili in 24
ore è riportata sulla targhetta dei dati,
un'etichetta presente sulle pareti interne
dell'apparecchiatura.
Il processo di congelamento dura 24 ore: non
aggiungere altri alimenti da congelare per tutta la
durata del processo.
SCONGELAMENTO
Prima dell'utilizzo, i cibi surgelati o congelati
possono essere scongelati nel vano frigorifero o,
per un processo più veloce, a temperatura
ambiente.
Gli alimenti divisi in piccole porzioni possono
essere cucinati direttamente, senza essere prima
scongelati: in questo caso, tuttavia, la cottura
durerà più a lungo.
RIPIANI RIMOVIBILI

permettono di posizionare i ripiani a diverse altezze.

RIMOZIONE DEI CESTELLI DEL
CONGELATORE
I cestelli del vano congelatore sono provvisti di un
fermo che ne impedisce la caduta o la rimozione
accidentale. Per estrarre un cestello dal
congelatore, tirarlo in avanti e, al raggiungimento

• non introdurre alimenti o liquidi caldi nel vano
frigorifero
• coprire o avvolgere gli alimenti, in particolare
quelli con un gusto o un aroma forte
• disporre gli alimenti in modo da garantire
un'adeguata circolazione dell'aria
CONSIGLI PER LA REFRIGERAZIONE
Consigli utili:
• Carne (tutti i tipi): deve essere avvolta in
appositi sacchetti e collocata sul ripiano di
vetro, sopra il cassetto delle verdure. La carne
può essere conservata al massimo per 1-2
giorni.
• Alimenti cotti, piatti freddi: coprirli e metterli su
un ripiano qualsiasi.
• Frutta e verdura: pulire accuratamente e riporla
in un apposito cassetto. Non conservare in
frigorifero banane, patate, cipolle o aglio se non
confezionati
• Burro e formaggio: riporli in un apposito
contenitore sottovuoto oppure avvolgerli in un
foglio di alluminio o in un sacchetto di polietilene
per limitare il più possibile la presenza di aria.
• Bottiglie: chiuderle con un tappo e conservarle
sul ripiano portabottiglie della porta, o (se
presente) sulla griglia portabottiglie.

Consigli importanti per un congelamento ottimale:
• la quantità massima di alimenti congelabile in 24
ore è riportata sulla targhetta dei dati del
modello;

L'apparecchiatura deve essere pulita regolarmente:
• lavare l'interno e gli accessori con acqua tiepida
e sapone neutro.

questo lasso di tempo non devono essere
introdotti altri alimenti;
• congelare solo alimenti freschi, di ottima qualità
e accuratamente lavati;
• dividere gli alimenti in piccole porzioni, in modo
da facilitare un congelamento rapido e
consentire lo scongelamento solo della quantità
necessaria;
• avvolgere gli alimenti in pellicola di alluminio o
polietilene in modo da evitare il contatto con
l'aria;
• non disporre gli alimenti freschi a contatto con
quelli già congelati, per evitare l'innalzamento
della temperatura di questi ultimi;
• gli alimenti magri si conservano meglio e più a
lungo di quelli ricchi di grassi. Il sale riduce la
durata di conservazione dell'alimento;
• i ghiaccioli, se consumati appena prelevati dal
vano congelatore, possono causare ustioni da
freddo;
• è consigliabile riportare su ogni confezione la
data di congelamento, in modo da poter
controllare il tempo di conservazione.
CONSIGLI PER LA CONSERVAZIONE DEI
SURGELATI
Per ottenere risultati ottimali è consigliabile:
• controllare che i surgelati esposti nei punti
vendita non presentino segni di interruzione
della catena del freddo;
• accertarsi che il tempo di trasferimento dei
surgelati dal punto vendita al congelatore
domestico sia il più breve possibile;
• non aprire frequentemente la porta e limitare il
più possibile i tempi di apertura;
• una volta scongelati, gli alimenti si deteriorano
rapidamente e non possono essere ricongelati;
• non superare la durata di conservazione indicata
sulla confezione.

Evitare di tirare, spostare o

Il ripiano inferiore, che divide il vano frigorifero dal
vano con una temperatura di 0°C, può essere
estratto unicamente a scopo di pulizia. Per
rimuoverlo, estrarlo tenendolo in posizione

piastre di copertura devono essere
ricollocati nella loro posizione originale

SBRINAMENTO DEL FRIGORIFERO
Durante l'uso normale, la brina viene eliminata
automaticamente dall'evaporatore del vano
frigorifero ogni volta che il motocompressore si
arresta. L'acqua di sbrinamento giunge attraverso
un condotto in un apposito recipiente posto sul
retro dell'apparecchiatura, sopra il
motocompressore, dove evapora.
È importante pulire periodicamente il foro di scarico
dell'acqua di sbrinamento, situato al centro del
canale sulla parete posteriore, per evitare che
l'acqua fuoriesca sugli alimenti.
SBRINAMENTO DEL CONGELATORE
È normale che sui ripiani del
congelatore e intorno allo scomparto
superiore si formi, col tempo, uno
strato di brina. Quando lo strato
raggiunge uno spessore dai 3 ai 5
mm, il vano congelatore deve essere
sbrinato. Per accelerare lo
sbrinamento è possibile introdurre nel
vano congelatore una o più bacinelle
d'acqua calda (non bollente).
AVVERTENZA! Per rimuovere la brina
dall'evaporatore, non usare utensili
metallici appuntiti che possano
danneggiarlo. Non usare dispositivi
meccanici o altri mezzi artificiali non
raccomandati dal produttore allo
scopo di accelerare il processo di
sbrinamento. Un aumento della
temperatura dei surgelati durante lo
sbrinamento può ridurre la loro durata
di conservazione.
1. Spegnere l'apparecchiatura ed estrarre la spina
dalla presa a parete.
2. Rimuovere i surgelati, avvolgerli in alcuni strati
di carta di giornale e riporli in un luogo fresco.
3. Rimuovere i cassetti del congelatore.
4. Avvolgere i cassetti con materiale isolante, ad
esempio coperte o carta da giornale.
5. Lasciare aperta la porta e inserire il raschietto
in plastica nella sede appropriata al centro sul
fondo, collocando una bacinella al di sotto per
raccogliere l'acqua di sbrinamento.
6. Rimuovere con cura il ghiaccio quando questo
comincia a sciogliersi (utilizzare un raschietto di
plastica o legno).
7. Quando tutto il ghiaccio si è sciolto, asciugare
accuratamente l'interno, conservando il
raschietto per poterlo riutilizzare in futuro.
8. Riaccendere l'apparecchiatura e reintrodurre i
surgelati.

cesto inferior que é necessário para uma boa

Em todas as prateleiras excepto a superior, é
possível colocar alimentos que fiquem salientes até
15 mm da porta.

Se a temperatura ambiente for alta ou
se o aparelho estiver completamente
cheio e estiver regulado para uma
temperatura baixa, pode ocorrer
formação de gelo na parede posterior.
Neste caso, o regulador de
temperatura deve ser colocado numa
temperatura superior para permitir a
descongelação automática e reduzir o
consumo de energia.
Em caso de descongelação acidental,
por exemplo, devido a falta de
electricidade, se a energia estiver
desligada durante mais tempo do que
o “Tempo de autonomia” indicado na
tabela de características técnicas, os
alimentos descongelados terão de ser
consumidos rapidamente ou
cozinhados imediatamente e depois
novamente congelados (após

CONGELAR ALIMENTOS FRESCOS
O congelador é adequado para congelar alimentos
frescos e conservar alimentos congelados e
ultracongelados a longo prazo.
Para congelar alimentos frescos, é suficiente
manter a regulação no valor médio.
No entanto, para uma congelação mais rápida, rode
o regulador de temperatura para definições
superiores para obter o máximo de frio.
Neste estado, a temperatura do
frigorífico pode descer abaixo dos 0

compartimento do frigorífico ou à temperatura
ambiente, dependendo do tempo disponível para
esta operação.
Os artigos pequenos podem ser cozinhados ainda
congelados, directamente do congelador: neste
caso, a confecção demora mais tempo.
COMPARTIMENTO DE BAIXA
TEMPERATURA
O compartimento de baixa temperatura é adequado
para guardar alimentos frescos como peixe, carne e
marisco porque tem uma temperatura inferior à do
resto do frigorífico.

PRATELEIRAS MÓVEIS
As paredes do frigorífico possuem várias calhas
que permitem posicionar as prateleiras conforme
desejado.

REMOÇÃO DOS CESTOS DO CONGELADOR

POSICIONAMENTO DAS PRATELEIRAS DA

Para permitir o armazenamento de embalagens de
alimentos de várias dimensões, as prateleiras da
porta podem ser colocadas a diferentes alturas.
Puxe gradualmente a prateleira na direcção das
setas até ela se soltar e, em seguida, reposicione
como pretender.
Os cestos de congelação têm um batente limitador
para evitar a sua remoção acidental ou queda.
Quando retirar um cesto do congelador, puxe-o na
sua direcção e, ao atingir o batente, retire o cesto
inclinando a parte dianteira para cima.
Para voltar a colocá-lo, levante ligeiramente a parte
da frente do cesto para o introduzir no congelador.
Assim que passar pelos batentes, empurre o cesto
para a devida posição.

SUGESTÕES E DICAS
SONS DE FUNCIONAMENTO NORMAIS
Os seguintes sons são normais durante o
funcionamento:
• Um som de gorgolejar ou borbulhar quando o
refrigerante está a ser bombeado.
• Um som sibilante e ritmado proveniente do
compressor quando o refrigerante está a ser
bombeado.
• Um ruído repentino de estilhaçar no interior do
aparelho, causado pela dilatação térmica
(fenómeno físico natural e não perigoso).
• Um ruído de clique proveniente do regulador de
temperatura quando o compressor é ligado e
desligado.
CONSELHOS PARA POUPAR ENERGIA
• Não abra a porta muitas vezes, nem a deixe
aberta mais tempo do que o absolutamente
necessário.
• Se a temperatura ambiente for alta e o
regulador de temperatura se encontrar na
regulação de temperatura baixa com o aparelho
completamente cheio, o compressor pode
funcionar continuamente, causando gelo no
evaporador. Se isto acontecer, coloque o
regulador de temperatura numa regulação mais
quente, para permitir a descongelação
automática e reduzir o consumo de

CONSELHOS PARA A REFRIGERAÇÃO DE
ALIMENTOS FRESCOS
Para obter o melhor desempenho:
• não guarde alimentos quentes ou líquidos que
se evaporam no frigorífico;
• cubra ou embrulhe os alimentos,
particularmente se tiverem um cheiro forte;
• posicione os alimentos de modo a que o ar
possa circular livremente em redor.
CONSELHOS PARA A REFRIGERAÇÃO
Conselhos úteis:
• Carne (todos os tipos): embale em embagalens
adequadas e coloque na prateleira de vidro por
cima da gaveta de legumes. A carne conserva-
se por 1 ou 2 dias no máximo.
• Alimentos cozinhados e pratos frios: cubra e
coloque em qualquer prateleira.
• Fruta e legumes: lave bem e coloque numa
gaveta especial. Alguns produtos, como
bananas, batatas, cebolas e alho, não devem
ser guardados no frigorífico se não estiverem
embalados.

• Manteiga e queijo: coloque em recipientes
herméticos especiais ou embale em folha de
alumínio ou sacos de politeno para excluir o
máximo de ar possível.
• Garrafas: devem ter uma tampa e devem ser
colocadas na prateleira de garrafas da porta ou
noutra prateleira de garrafas (se existir).
CONSELHOS PARA A CONGELAÇÃO
Para optimizar o processo de congelação, siga
estes conselhos importantes:
• a quantidade máxima de alimentos que podem
ser congelados em 24 horas está indicada na
placa de características;
• o processo de congelação demora 24 horas e
não devem ser adicionados mais alimentos para
congelação durante este período;
• congele apenas alimentos de boa qualidade,
frescos e bem limpos;
• prepare os alimentos em pequenas quantidades
para permitir a descongelação rápida e
completa e para poder descongelar apenas a
quantidade necessária;
• embrulhe os alimentos em folha de alumínio ou
politeno e certifique-se de que as embalagens
são herméticas;
• não permita que os alimentos frescos e não
congelados entrem em contacto com os
alimentos já congelados, para evitar o aumento
da temperatura dos alimentos congelados;
• os alimentos magros conservam-se melhor e
durante mais tempo do que o alimentos gordos;
o sal reduz o tempo de conservação dos
alimentos;
• os alimentos podem causar queimaduras na
pele quando tocados imediatamente após a sua
remoção do compartimento do congelador,
devido à congelação da água;
• é aconselhável que anote a data de congelação
em cada embalagem para poder controlar o
tempo de armazenamento.
CONSELHOS PARA O ARMAZENAMENTO DE
ALIMENTOS CONGELADOS
Para obter o melhor desempenho deste aparelho,
siga estas indicações:
• certifique-se de que os alimentos congelados
comercialmente foram armazenados
adequadamente pelo vendedor;
• certifique-se de que os alimentos congelados
são transferidos do supermercado para o
congelador no tempo mais curto possível;
• não abra a porta muitas vezes, nem a deixe
aberta mais tempo do que o necessário;
• uma vez descongelados, os alimentos
degradam-se rapidamente e não podem voltar a
ser congelados;

LIMPEZA PERIÓDICA
O equipamento tem de ser limpo regularmente:
• limpe o interior e os acessórios com água
morna e um pouco de detergente neutro;
• verifique regularmente os vedantes das portas e
limpe-os para garantir que estão limpos e sem
resíduos;
• enxagúe e seque minuciosamente.
Não puxe, não desloque, nem
danifique quaisquer tubos e/ou cabos
no interior do aparelho.
Nunca utilize detergentes, pós
abrasivos, produtos de limpeza muito
perfumados ou cera de polir para
limpar o interior, porque poderão
danificar a superfície e deixar um odor
forte.
A prateleira do fundo, que faz a divisão entre o
compartimento do frigorifico e o compartimento de
0 °C, pode ser removida, mas apenas para limpeza.
Para remover a prateleira, puxe-a para fora em linha
recta. As tampas por cima das gavetas do
compartimento podem ser removidas para limpeza.
Para garantir o melhor desempenho
do compartimento de 0 °C, é
necessário voltar a colocar a prateleira
do fundo e as tampas nas posições
originais após a limpeza.
DESCONGELAR O FRIGORÍFICO
O gelo é eliminado automaticamente do
evaporador do compartimento do frigorífico sempre
que o compressor motorizado pára, durante o
funcionamento normal. A água resultante da
descongelação é drenada por um canal para um
recipiente especial colocado na parte traseira do
aparelho, sobre o compressor motorizado, onde
evapora.
É importante limpar periodicamente o orifício de
descarga da água da descongelação, no centro do
canal do compartimento do frigorífico, para evitar o
transbordamento de água para os alimentos.

indicado pelo produtor dos alimentos.
DESCONGELAR O CONGELADOR
Haverá sempre a formação de uma
certa quantidade de gelo nas
prateleiras do congelador e em redor
do compartimento superior.
Descongele o congelador quando a
camada de gelo atingir uma espessura
de 3 a 5 mm. Pode acelerar a
descongelação colocando tigelas com
água quente (não a ferver) no
congelador.
CUIDADO! Nunca utilize objectos
metálicos afiados para raspar o gelo
do evaporador, pois pode danificá-lo.
Não utilize um dispositivo mecânico ou
qualquer meio artificial para acelerar o
processo de descongelação além dos
recomendados pelo fabricante. Um
aumento da temperatura das
embalagens dos alimentos
congelados, durante a descongelação,
pode reduzir o tempo de
armazenamento seguro.
1. Desligue o aparelho e retire a ficha da tomada
eléctrica.
2. Retire os alimentos armazenados, embrulhe-os
em várias folhas de jornal e coloque-os num
local frio.
3. Retire as gavetas do congelador.
4. Coloque material isolante à volta das gavetas,
por exemplo, cobertores ou jornais.
5. Deixe a porta aberta, coloque o raspador de
plástico no local adequado no fundo ao centro

 e coloque uma bacia por baixo para recolher a
água descongelada.
6. Raspe o gelo com cuidado quando este
começar a derreter (utilize um raspador de
madeira ou plástico).
7. Quando o gelo tiver derretido, seque o interior
minuciosamente e guarde o raspador para
futuras utilizações.
8. Ligue o aparelho e volte a colocar os alimentos
congelados.
PERÍODOS DE INACTIVIDADE
Quando não pretender utilizar o aparelho durante
bastante tempo, adopte as seguintes precauções:
1. Desligue o aparelho da alimentação eléctrica.
2. Retire todos os alimentos.
3. Descongele (se necessário) e limpe o aparelho
e todos os acessórios.
4. Limpe o aparelho e todos os acessórios.
5. Deixe a(s) porta(s) aberta(s) para evitar cheiros
desagradáveis.
