Basic elements, organization, and design of fire safety, sanitation and plumbing. Water sources, supply, and distribution in
buildings. Building sewage and sewer systems. Waste disposal and recycling. Fire hazards, fire fighting methods. Basic
elements, organization, and design of building services, e.g. ventilation, air-conditioning, mechanical and transportation.
Environmental control systems, building system, and energy management; codes and regulatory standards; their
application to physical and environmental systems. The indoor thermal comfort. Stresses and behaviors of buildings
envelop. Ventilation and air movement requirements and patterns. Natural cooling and their impact on human comfort.
Energy conservation. Observation and measurement equipment. Application and systems of air-conditioning; cooling load
calculation, design of ducts, air handling and distribution; equipment. Vertical and horizontal traffic and transportation
design. Basic elements, organization, and design of electrical services, communication, and security. Electrical units and
standards, network and circuit. Electrical wiring for various types of buildings. Illumination and different types of lighting.
