INTRODUCTION

This guide includes the study of simple past, verbs regular and irregular and structure
grammatical that serve to writing a biography and describing a past event in the life.

To form the past simple with regular verbs the infinitive is used and ending ed to the is added
and it works for all pronouns. Clearly for verbs that end in e only d is added.

There are many irregular verbs in English. Unfortunately, there is no established standard for
forming them.

The structure for the simple past is as follows:

 Affirmative
Subject + principal verb + complement

 Negative: The main verb does not change

The auxiliary did undergo the change in verb tense, indicating that the preceding action has
occurred at some point in the past. Therefore, this action, represented in the main verb of the
sentence, does not need to be conjugated in the past simple.

Subject + auxiliary verb + not + principal verb + complement

 Interrogative

Here, the auxiliary verb must always start the sentence and, unlike the previous forms, the
auxiliary verb does not precede the main verb

Auxiliary verb + subject + principal verb + complement
