Commissioner Karla M. Lewis

has been a Bloomingdale resident in ANC 5E06 for 34 years. She was elected to be the ANC 5E06
commissioner in November 2018 and took office in January 2019. As a former international civil
servant at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), she appreciates how critical it is to have systems in
place that support thriving local businesses and a good quality of life for residents. A recent retiree,
she is proud to serve her community in a greater capacity on a full time basis.
