Home Assignment # 1

Requirements:
 Come up with a business idea where you can implement the four functions of
management as described by Henry Fayol (Planning, Organizing, Leading and
Controlling).
Expectations from the Students

 At the first hand, think about an idea of any business around you.
 Conceive the four functions of management with the highlighted business. For example:
try to analyze how these given functions of management can be practically implemented
within the idea of selected business. (You may interview someone who is really in this
business in order to get better grip on the required concepts).
 Now write down the implementation of these managerial functions specific to the
selected business.

Submission:

 How to Submit: Students submitting this assignment should adhere to the following
guidelines:
1. Students are supposed to develop front page with the detailed information
about their name, registration number, submission day and date along with the
name of their facilitator.
2. Students are encouraged to type this assignment on MS word document with
the applicable font size and formatting (Font size: 12 and Formatting: Times
New Roman).
3. Each copy of the assignment must be bound using a single staple at the top left
hand corner. Binding using a plastic folder is not required.
 When to Submit: Students are supposed to submit this assignment in their upcoming
class.
