 Our Story

Our origins go back to 2004 when Hamza Maroof Trading was

reinvented from it’s previous state of affairs to a brand new
sense of direction.

Mr. Shabbir Kheraluwala, who is our Managing Director and

Founder, migrated to Dubai from India with a bag full of
determination and a conviction to constantly improve and excel.
It was this very conviction that led him to forgo his established
business and aspire towards the haven of business in the
modern world, to meet new challenges and grow.

In October 2004, Mr. Shabbir offered and purchased a business

and thus began HMT’s new journey. The initial few months
were filled with difficulties and some tough decisions which had
long standing impacts. But with sheer hard work and rising to
the market challenges, we have constantly looked to improve
and do something different which gave rise to our Horticulture

Since the beginning we have always been driven by the constant need to experiment and venture into
something new. Hamza Maroof Trading LLC began dealing with all kinds of security products in our
portfolio from reputed brands such as Yale, Medeco and Corbin. 2010 marked the beginning of Stainless
Steel Hardware manufactured and sold under the HMT brand.

In 2013, sensing the UAE's rising demand in green landscape, we ventured into the Horticulture business
with partnering reputed companies of Desch Plantpak – Netherland, Idel – Italy and Peltracom – Belgium.
Every year we kept on expanding our product portfolio but without compromising on quality as we truly
believe our customers deserve the best every single time.

2019 brings with it a new era in our history as we have launched a new company called Hamza Maroof
Garden Centre LLC. With this new venture we aim to expand further in our thirst for continuous
improvement and ever expanding services in the Horticulture field.
