 Introduction:

This document gives a brief description for fox 61x family (615,612) and how to manage
network elements, some maintenance functions and a comparison of an old fox 51x version
Both types of fox 61x family are the same in network elements and commissioning process
But defer in specifications and feature.

Installation of FOXCST

Before installation you must check: -
– CPU supporting virtualization (VT-x / AMD-V)
– Virtualization must be activated in the BIOS

Installation of the application on Windows®

For installation of FOXCST R2D with Online and Offline configuration:

1. Download the latest Oracle VM VirtualBox installation file from the site:
https://www.virtualbox.org/

2. Launch the installation file of the VirtualBox,

e.g. VirtualBox-5.2.6-120293-Win.exe

3. Launch the installation file of FOXCST Simulator,

e.g. CST_MSimVE_r03.07_abb_signed.exe

4. Launch the installation file of FOXCST,

e.g. FOXCST_R2E12_SP01b_abb_signed.exe

For installation of FOXCST with Online configuration only, skip steps 1. to 3. above.

Connection to FOX61x

You can only manage locally by port no.6 in CESMx with ip address by defaults 192.168.1.1
for cesm in slot 11 and 192.168.1.2 for cesm in slot 13.

and it has no password by defaults for manager user.

For remote management you can assign any from the first 5 ports for remote management.

After each change you must :
