local government units (LGUs) in conducting a greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory. The manual serves as a step-by-step
guide to LGUs in gathering, managing and quantifying data and information about the level of GHG emissions within their
respective jurisdictions. The emissions to be considered particularly come from the following sources: stationary
combustion from commercial and residential buildings, purchased electricity, mobile combustion, solid waste in landfills,
wastewater treatment and discharge, agriculture, industrial products and processes and forestry.

Considering the important role of the LGUs as the front line agencies to respond to climate change impacts and
risks under Republic Act 9729 otherwise known as Climate Change Act of 2009, the City Government of Tagum signifies
its utmost interest to participate in OPCC through “GHG Inventory Training” which will be conducted on July 13-15,
