Impact on Radio Network Performance: None
Applicable Mode: L

CarrAggrA4ThdRsrp Carrier Meaning: Indicates the Reference Signal Received

Aggregation Power (RSRP) threshold for a UE to report event A4 of a
A4 RSRP secondary cell. When the RSRP of the UE is greater
threshold than the threshold, event A4 is reported.
GUI Value Range: -140~-43
Unit: dBm
Actual Value Range: -140~-43
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: -105
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: None
Applicable Mode: L

CarrierMgtSwitch Carrier Meaning: Indicates whether to enable carrier

Manageme management. If this parameter is set to ON(On), the
nt Switch eNodeB deactivates the secondary serving cell (SCell)
for a CA UE when the traffic volume of the CA UE is
small or the channel quality of the SCell is poor. If this
parameter is set to OFF(Off), the SCell is always active
after being activated, unless a radio link failure (RLF) is
detected on the SCell.
GUI Value Range: OFF(Off), ON(On)
Unit: None
Actual Value Range: OFF, ON
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: ON(On)
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: If this parameter
is set to ON, the SCell can be deactivated based on the
traffic volume of the CA UE or the channel quality of the
SCell. This can save the UE power consumption when
the UE performs no service or a few services. When the
channel quality of the SCell is poor, the eNodeB
deactivates the SCell for the CA UE to prevent an SCell
throughput decrease due to scheduling on the SCell. If
this parameter is set to OFF, the SCell is always active
after being activated, unless an RLF is detected on the
SCell. In this case, a CA UE can use the SCell when the
traffic volume is large. However, the SCell throughput
decreases if the eNodeB performs scheduling on the
SCell with poor channel quality for the CA UE.
Applicable Mode: L

ActiveBufferLenThd CA Active Meaning: Indicates the threshold for a CA UE to activate

Buffer an SCell. A CA UE can active an SCell only when its
Length buffered data on the eNodeB exceeds this threshold.

Unit: kB
Actual Value Range: 0~300
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: 9
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: If this parameter
is set to a large value, a CA UE can activate an SCell
when its buffered data on the eNodeB is large. If this
parameter is set to a small value, a CA UE can activate
an SCell when its buffered data on the eNodeB is small.
Applicable Mode: L
DeactiveBufferLenThd CA Meaning: Indicates the threshold for a CA UE to
Deactive deactivate an SCell. A CA UE can deactivate an SCell
Buffer only when its buffered data on the eNodeB is smaller
Length than this threshold.
Threshold GUI Value Range: 1~10
Unit: kB
Actual Value Range: 1~10
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: 3
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: If this parameter
is set to a large value, a CA UE can deactivate an SCell
when its buffered data on the eNodeB is large. If this
parameter is set to a small value, a CA UE can
deactivate an SCell when its buffered data on the
eNodeB is small.
Applicable Mode: L

ActiveBufferDelayThd CA Active Meaning: Indicates the threshold for a CA UE to activate

Buffer an SCell. A CA UE can activate an SCell only when its
Delay buffer delay on the eNodeB exceeds this threshold.
Threshold GUI Value Range: 0~300
Unit: ms
Actual Value Range: 0~300
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: 50
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: If this parameter
is set to a large value, a CA UE can activate an SCell
when its buffer delay on the eNodeB is large. If this
parameter is set to a small value, a CA UE can activate
an SCell when its buffer delay on the eNodeB is small.
Applicable Mode: L

DeactiveThroughputThd CA Meaning: Indicates the threshold for a CA UE to

Deactive deactivate an SCell. A CA UE can deactivate an SCell
Throughput only when its throughput is smaller than the value of this
Threshold parameter.
GUI Value Range: 10~1000
Unit: kbit/s
Actual Value Range: 10~1000
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: 100
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: If this parameter
is set to a large value, a CA UE can deactivate an SCell
when its throughput is large. If this parameter is set to a
small value, a CA UE can deactivate an SCell when its
throughput is small.
Applicable Mode: L

CarrAggrA6Offset Carrier Meaning: Indicates the offset for secondary cell event
Aggregation A6. This offset is the difference between the quality of a
A6 Offset neighboring cell and that of the serving cell. A large
value indicates that a neighboring cell must have a
better quality than the serving cell for reporting the event
A6.
GUI Value Range: -30~30
Unit: 0.5dB
Actual Value Range: -15~15
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: 2
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: None
Applicable Mode: L

SCellAgingTime SCell Aging Meaning: Indicates the length of aging time of the SCells
Time that are dynamically configured for CA UEs in a cell in
frequency-based CA configuration scenarios. If no CA
UE is performing carrier aggregation between an SCell
and the PCell within the aging time, the eNodeB cancels
the association between the SCell and the PCell.
GUI Value Range: 1~65535
Unit: min
Actual Value Range: 1~65535
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: 15
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: None
Applicable Mode: L

CaA6ReportAmount CA A6 Meaning: Indicates the number of periodic measurement

Report reports sent after CA event A6 is triggered. For details,
Amount see 3GPP TS 36.331.
GUI Value Range: r1(1), r2(2), r4(4), r8(8), r16(16),
r32(32), r64(64), Infinity(Infinity)
Unit: None
Actual Value Range: r1, r2, r4, r8, r16, r32, r64, Infinity
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: r8(8)
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: The greater the
value, the higher the UE power consumption. However,
if this parameter is set to a large value, the eNodeB can
monitor the radio signal condition of the SCell's intra-
frequency neighboring cells. When the signal quality in
the SCell is poor, the eNodeB can change the SCell in a
timely manner to prevent a decrease in the SCell
transmission efficiency. The smaller the value, the lower
the UE power consumption. However, if this parameter
is set to a small value, the eNodeB may not know the
radio signal condition of the SCell's intra-frequency
neighboring cells. When the signal quality in the SCell is
poor, the eNodeB may not change the SCell in a timely
manner, so the SCell transmission efficiency decreases.
Applicable Mode: L

CaA6ReportInterval CA A6 Meaning: Indicates the interval between periodic

Report measurement reports that are sent after CA event A6 is
Interval triggered. For details, see 3GPP TS 36.331.
GUI Value Range: 120ms, 240ms, 480ms, 640ms,
1024ms, 2048ms, 5120ms, 10240ms, 1min, 6min,
12min, 30min, 60min
Unit: None
Actual Value Range: 120ms, 240ms, 480ms, 640ms,
1024ms, 2048ms, 5120ms, 10240ms, 1min, 6min,
12min, 30min, 60min
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: 10240ms
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: The greater the
value is, the less frequently the UE sends A6
measurement reports, and the lower the UE power
consumption is. However, if this parameter is set to a
large value, the eNodeB may not know the radio signal
condition of the SCell's intra-frequency neighboring cells.
When the signal quality in the SCell is poor, the eNodeB
may not change the SCell in a timely manner, so the
SCell transmission efficiency decreases. The smaller the
value is, the more frequently the UE sends A6
measurement reports, and the higher the UE power
consumption is. However, if this parameter is set to a
small value, the eNodeB can monitor the radio signal
condition of the SCell's intra-frequency neighboring cells.
When the signal quality in the SCell is poor, the eNodeB
can change the SCell in a timely manner to prevent a
decrease in the SCell transmission efficiency.
Applicable Mode: L

SccDeactCqiThd SCC Meaning: Indicates the Release-8-equivalent CQI

Deactive threshold used to evaluate the deactivation of an SCell
CQI for a CA UE based on channel quality. If the channel
Threshold quality of the CA UE is lower than that corresponding to
the CQI threshold in single-codeword transmission, the
eNodeB deactivates the SCell for the UE. If this
parameter is set to 0, the eNodeB does not deactivate
SCells based on channel quality. This parameter
specifies the CQI threshold for deactivating the SCell
that the local cell acts as, and takes effect only when the
CarrierMgtSwitch parameter for the associated PCell is
set to ON.
GUI Value Range: 0~15
Unit: None
Actual Value Range: 0~15
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: 5
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: None
Applicable Mode: L

SccCfgInterval SCC Meaning: Indicates the minimum interval at which the

Configuratio eNodeB attempts to configure a secondary serving cell
n Interval (SCell) again for a CA UE whose SCell failed to be
configured. The actual interval at which the eNodeB
attempts to configure a secondary serving cell (SCell)
again for a CA UE must be larger than this value. The
eNodeB makes the attempt only if the traffic volume of
the UE always meets the SCell activation condition
throughout a certain time.
GUI Value Range: 5~60
Unit: s
Actual Value Range: 5~60
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: None
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: A smaller value
results in more frequent SCell configurations and more
RRC Connection Reconfiguration messages transmitted
to configure SCells. In addition, it leads to a greater
decrease in cell throughput if the eNodeB configures
SCells based on A4 measurements and the UE requires
inter-frequency measurement gaps.
A larger value results in less frequent SCell
configurations and fewer RRC Connection
Reconfiguration messages transmitted to configure
SCells. In addition, it leads to a smaller decrease in cell
throughput if the eNodeB configures SCells based on A4
measurements and the UE requires inter-frequency
measurement gaps.
Applicable Mode: L

CellCaAlgoSwitch Cell Level Meaning: Indicates whether to enable cell-level carrier

CA aggregation (CA). This parameter provides the following
Algorithm options:
Switch CaDl3CCSwitch(CaDl3CCSwitch): Indicates whether to
enable aggregation of three component carriers in the
downlink. This type of aggregation works if this option is
selected and at least two SccFreqCfg MOs or three
CaGroupCell MOs are configured.
CaUl2CCSwitch(CaUl2CCSwitch): Indicates whether to
enable aggregation of two component carriers in the
uplink. This type of aggregation works if this option is
selected and at least one SccFreqCfg MO or two
CaGroupCell MOs are configured.
CaDl4CCSwitch(CaDl4CCSwitch): Indicates whether to
enable aggregation of four component carriers in the
downlink. This type of aggregation works if this option is
selected and at least three SccFreqCfg MOs or four
CaGroupCell MOs are configured.
InterFddTddCaSwitch(InterFddTddCaSwitch): Indicates
whether to enable aggregation of TDD and FDD
component carriers. This type of aggregation works if
this option is selected. In a combination of FDD and TDD
cells for CA, either an FDD cell or a TDD cell can act as
the PCell.
2CCDlCaEnhanceSwitch(2CCDlCaEnhanceSwitch):
Indicates whether to enable enhanced DL ACK
demodulation when two component carriers are
aggregated. If this option is selected, DL ACK
demodulation is enhanced, increasing the downlink
throughput of UEs using CA. Using PUCCH format 3
increases the UE transmit power, affecting uplink UE
throughput. If this option is deselected, PUCCH format
1b with channel selection is used, a large number of bit
errors occur, affecting downlink throughput of CA UEs.
CaDl5CCSwitch(CaDl5CCSwitch): Indicates whether to
enable aggregation of five component carriers in the
downlink. This type of aggregation works if this option is
selected and at least four SccFreqCfg MOs or five
CaGroupCell MOs are configured.
CaInstantlyJudgeSwitch(CaInstantlyJudgeSwitch):
Indicates whether to use instantaneous millisecond-level
values or filtered second-level values to evaluate SCell
activation based on traffic volume. If this option is
selected, instantaneous values are used. If this option is
deselected, filtered values are used.
LaaCaDlSwitch(LaaCaDlSwitch): Indicates whether to
enable downlink licensed-assisted access (LAA) CA.
This option applies only to FDD LampSite eNodeBs.
Downlink LAA CA is enabled only if this option is
selected.
FddTddCaUlServiceFirstSwitch: Indicates whether to
prioritize uplink services for a UE in the FDD+TDD CA
state in both the uplink and downlink. When a UE
performs FDD+TDD CA in both the uplink and downlink
in a cell, the eNodeB preferentially guarantees uplink
throughput of the UE only if this option is selected.
RcvA2CfgSccSwitch: Indicates whether to allow SCell
configuration for a UE after the eNodeB receives an A2-
related measurement report from the UE. SCell
configuration for the UE is allowed after the eNodeB
receives an A2-related measurement report from the UE
only if this option is selected.
GUI Value Range: CaDl3CCSwitch(CaDl3CCSwitch),
CaUl2CCSwitch(CaUl2CCSwitch),
CaDl4CCSwitch(CaDl4CCSwitch),

Unit: None
Actual Value Range: CaDl3CCSwitch, CaUl2CCSwitch,
CaDl4CCSwitch, InterFddTddCaSwitch,
2CCDlCaEnhanceSwitch, CaDl5CCSwitch,
CaInstantlyJudgeSwitch, LaaCaDlSwitch,
FddTddCaUlServiceFirstSwitch, RcvA2CfgSccSwitch
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: CaDl3CCSwitch:Off,
CaUl2CCSwitch:Off, CaDl4CCSwitch:Off,
InterFddTddCaSwitch:Off, 2CCDlCaEnhanceSwitch:Off,
CaDl5CCSwitch:Off, CaInstantlyJudgeSwitch:On,
LaaCaDlSwitch:Off, FddTddCaUlServiceFirstSwitch:Off,
RcvA2CfgSccSwitch:Off
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance:
CaDl3CCSwitch: UEs that support downlink 3CC CA
can reach a higher downlink peak data rate only if this
option is selected.
CaUl2CCSwitch: UEs that support uplink 2CC CA can
reach a higher uplink peak data rate only if this option is
selected.
CaDl4CCSwitch: UEs that support downlink 4CC CA
can reach a higher downlink peak data rate only if this
option is selected.
InterFddTddCaSwitch: UEs that support downlink
FDD+TDD CA can reach a higher downlink peak data
rate only if this option is selected.
2CCDlCaEnhanceSwitch: If this option is selected, DL
ACK demodulation is enhanced, increasing the downlink
throughput of UEs using CA. Using PUCCH format 3
increases the UE transmit power, affecting uplink UE
throughput. If this option is deselected, PUCCH format
1b with channel selection is used, a large number of bit
errors occur, affecting downlink throughput of CA UEs..
CaDl5CCSwitch: UEs that support downlink 5CC CA
can reach a higher downlink peak data rate only if this
option is selected.
CaInstantlyJudgeSwitch: If this option is selected, SCell
activation is more probably to be triggered. The
procedure is initiated through MAC control elements,
which are transmitted using low-order MCSs. If there are
a large number of CA UEs, frequent SCell activations
decrease UE throughput. However, for small-packet
services such as web browsing and small-size file
transmission, selecting this option ensures a higher
probability of SCell activation, thereby increasing UE
throughput more quickly. If this option is deselected, the
eNodeB performs SCell activation for a CA UE typically
when the UE is downloading large-size files. This
decreases the number of MAC control elements
transmitted. However, there is low probability of SCell
activation, causing a low UE throughput and long
downloading delay.
LaaCaDlSwitch: UEs that support LAA CA can reach a
higher peak data rate only if this option is selected. This
option applies only to LTE FDD.
Deselecting this option has no impact on network
performance.
RcvA2CfgSccSwitch: If this option is selected, SCell
configuration is allowed for a UE in the handover zone,
improving user experience. However, if the handover
zone is narrow, selecting this option may decrease the
handover success rate, even causing service drops, and
it is not recommended that this option be selected in this
scenario.
Applicable Mode: L

UlCaActiveTimeToTrigger UL CA Time Meaning: Indicates the time-to-trigger for activating an

To Trigger SCell for a UE in the uplink. If the uplink traffic volume of
a CA UE is greater than the ActiveBufferLenThd
parameter value throughout the period specified by the
UlCaActiveTimeToTrigger parameter, the eNodeB
initiates the SCell activation procedure.
GUI Value Range: 0~2000
Unit: ms
Actual Value Range: 0~2000
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: 20
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: A smaller value
of this parameter results in a larger probability that the
SCell activation procedure is triggered by uplink
services. A larger value of this parameter results in a
lower probability.
Applicable Mode: L

CaAmbrThd CA user Meaning: Indicates the aggregate maximum bit rate

AMBR (AMBR) threshold for aggregating carriers for UEs.
Threshold Carriers can only be aggregated for UEs whose AMBR
values are greater than the threshold. A larger value of
this parameter leads to fewer UEs for whom the carriers
can be aggregated.
GUI Value Range: 0~65535
Unit: Mbps
Actual Value Range: 0~65535
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: 0
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: None
Applicable Mode: L

MeasCycleSCell Measureme Meaning: This reserved parameter specifies the

nt Cycle of sampling period of the radio resource measurement on
SCell the SCell by the CA UE when the SCell is deactivated. If
the sampling period is not configured, the measurement
configuration message that the eNodeB sends to the CA
UE does not contain the IE measCycleSCell.
GUI Value Range: NOT_CFG, 160ms, 256ms, 320ms,
512ms, 640ms, 1024ms, 1280ms
Unit: None
Actual Value Range: NOT_CFG, 160ms, 256ms, 320ms,
512ms, 640ms, 1024ms, 1280ms
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: If this parameter is set to
NOT_CFG, an eNodeB does not include the
measCycleSCell IE in the measurement configuration
delivered to a CA UE, and the CA UE behavior will be
unpredictable. To make a CA UE perform radio resource
measurements according to specified parameters when
its SCells are deactivated, you are advised to set this
parameter to 640ms.
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: A smaller value
of this parameter indicates a shorter sampling period
and results in that the CA UE measures the radio
resources of the SCell more frequently. However, this
also increases the UE power consumption. A larger
value results in the opposite effects. If this parameter is
set to NOT_CFG and no compatibility protection
mechanism is adopted for the CA UE, the CA UE
behavior will be unpredictable when the eNodeB
configures frequencies for the CA UE to measure.
Applicable Mode: L

CellMaxPccNumber Cell Meaning: Indicates the maximum number of CA UEs

Maximum that are allowed to use the cell's carrier as the PCC. If
PCC the number of CA UEs using the cell's carrier as the
Number PCC has reached the parameter value, no more CA UEs
can use the carrier as the PCC. A smaller parameter
value leads to fewer CA UEs that are allowed to use the
cell's carrier as the PCC. If this parameter is set to 0, no
CA UE is allowed to use the cell's carrier as the PCC but
CA UEs can use the carrier as the SCC. If the total value
of this parameter for all cells on a baseband processing
unit exceeds the upper limit of such UEs served by the
unit, the limit takes effect.
GUI Value Range: 0~65535
Unit: None
Actual Value Range: 0~65535
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: 65535
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: None
Applicable Mode: L

PccUserNumberOffloadThd Offload Meaning: Indicates the threshold used to determine the

Threshold PCell high load state for cells. This threshold is used for
of PCC load-based PCC anchoring and is expressed as a
User percentage of UEs that treat the cell as their PCell. If the
Number percentage is greater than the threshold, the cell is in
the PCell high load state. Otherwise, the cell is in the
PCell low load state.
GUI Value Range: 0~100
Unit: %
Actual Value Range: 0~100
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: 80
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: None
Applicable Mode: L

EnhancedPccAnchorA1Thd A1 RSRP Meaning: Indicates the RSRP threshold for event A1

Rsrp Threshold used in enhanced PCC anchoring. If the measured
for RSRP value exceeds this threshold, an A1
Enhanced measurement report will be sent.
PCC GUI Value Range: -140~-43
Anchor
Unit: dBm
Actual Value Range: -140~-43
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: None
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: A smaller value
of this parameter results in a higher probability of
triggering inter-frequency measurements for PCC
anchoring to higher-priority carriers. A larger value
indicates a lower probability.
Applicable Mode: L

AddedMeasCfg Additional Meaning: Indicates whether the eNodeB can instruct

Measureme UEs to perform additional measurements to provide
nt more samples for collecting statistics. During automatic
Configuratio grouping for carrier aggregation, if the number of
n collected samples is insufficient, the eNodeB instructs
UEs to perform additional measurements so that the
number of samples may reach the preset quantity
threshold.
If this parameter is set to ALLOWED(Allowed), the
eNodeB instructs UEs to perform additional
measurements in an extension period that automatically
starts when the number of samples in a measurement
period does not reach the preset target. If this parameter
is set to NOT_ALLOWED(Not Allowed), the eNodeB
does not instruct UEs to perform additional
measurements.
GUI Value Range: NOT_ALLOWED(Not allowed),
ALLOWED(Allowed)
Unit: None
Actual Value Range: NOT_ALLOWED, ALLOWED
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: ALLOWED(Allowed)
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: None
Applicable Mode: L

BlindScellSampleNum Blind Scell Meaning: Indicates the minimum required number of A4

Sample and A5 report samples for starting coverage evaluation
Number during automatic grouping for carrier aggregation. The
eNodeB starts coverage evaluation only if the number of
samples reaches or exceeds the value of this parameter.
Based on the samples, the eNodeB will calculate the
coverage overlap proportion and adds, changes, or
clears blind SCell configuration flag settings for
neighboring cells.
GUI Value Range: 1~65535
Unit: None
Actual Value Range: 1~65535
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: 1000
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: None
Applicable Mode: L

OptMode Optimizatio Meaning: Indicates the working mode of automatic

n Mode grouping for carrier aggregation.
If this parameter is set to FREE, the eNodeB
automatically adds, changes, or clears blind SCell
configuration flag settings for neighboring cells. If this
parameter is set to CONTROLLED, the eNodeB reports
the optimization advice on the flag settings to the U2000,
and operators determine whether to take the advice.
GUI Value Range: FREE(FREE),
CONTROLLED(CONTROLLED)
Unit: None
Actual Value Range: FREE, CONTROLLED
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: FREE(FREE)
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: None
Applicable Mode: L

SleepPeriod Sleep Meaning: Indicates the sleep period during which

Period automatic grouping for carrier aggregation stops working
after one round of statistics collection and configuration.
Automatic grouping for carrier aggregation is not working
within the sleep period. The function resumes after the
sleep period if the network topology changes during the
sleep period. If this parameter is set to 65535, automatic
grouping for carrier aggregation does not enter the sleep
period and periodically works. It is recommended that
this parameter be set to a multiple of 5. If this parameter
is not set to a multiple of 5, the actually effective
parameter value is extended to a multiple of 5.
GUI Value Range: 0~65535
Unit: min
Actual Value Range: 0~65535
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: 1440
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: None
Applicable Mode: L

StatPeriod Statistic Meaning: Indicates the measurement period of

Period automatic grouping for carrier aggregation. If the number
of samples collected in a period meets the requirement,
the eNodeB calculates the coverage overlap proportion
and adds, changes, or clears blind SCell configuration
flag settings for neighboring cells within the period. If the
number of samples collected in the period does not meet
the requirement, the eNodeB automatically extends a
second period and performs accumulated statistics
collection. To ensure the operating efficiency of the
algorithm, the eNodeB extends only one period for
sample collection.
A shorter measurement period results in faster addition,
changes, or clearing of blind SCell configuration flag
settings for neighboring cells. It is recommended that this
parameter be set to a multiple of 5. If this parameter is
not set to a multiple of 5, the actually effective parameter

RelaxedBHSccDeactCqiThd Relaxed Meaning: Indicates the Release-8-equivalent CQI

Backhaul threshold used to evaluate the deactivation of an SCell
SCC for a CA UE based on channel quality in relaxed-
Deactive backhaul-based CA. If the channel quality of the CA UE
CQI is lower than that corresponding to the CQI threshold in
Threshold single-codeword transmission, the eNodeB deactivates
the SCell for the UE. If this parameter is set to 0, the
eNodeB does not deactivate SCells based on channel
quality. This parameter specifies the CQI threshold for
deactivating the SCell that the local cell acts as, and
takes effect only when the CarrierMgtSwitch parameter
for the associated PCell is set to ON.

effect.
Applicable Mode: L

SccQuietTime SCC Quiet Meaning: Indicates the SCC unavailability duration.

Time Some multi-mode UEs (for example, SRLTE/SLTE UEs)
periodically do not receive signals of the SCell but detect
signals of another RAT in CA scenarios. This causes an
increase in the number of residual erroneous blocks in
the SCell, triggering SCell deactivation. This parameter
is added to ensure that the SCell is not deactivated
when such UEs are detecting signals of another RAT in
CA scenarios.
The parameter value must be greater than the duration
for such UEs to detect signals of another RAT. If this
parameter is set to 0, the eNodeB triggers SCell
deactivation once the eNodeB detects a residual
erroneous block. If this parameter is set to a value
greater than 0, the eNodeB does not trigger SCell
deactivation because of residual erroneous blocks within
the duration.
GUI Value Range: 0~255
Unit: ms
Actual Value Range: 0~255
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: If an operator deploys both an
LTE and an inter-RAT network and there are CA-
capable multi-mode UEs that are periodically performing
detection of inter-RAT signals, set this parameter based
on the UEs' detection period of inter-RAT paging
messages.
For example, if the operator deploys both an LTE and a
CDMA2000 network and there are CA-capable LTE-
CDMA2000 dual-mode UEs, this parameter can be set
based on the UEs's detection period of CDMA2000
paging messages. The detection period is usually 40 ms
or 80 ms, and therefore this parameter can be set to 40
ms or 80 ms in the preceding scenario.
If the operator deploys only an LTE network or there are
no such UEs, the recommended value is 0 ms.
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: When this
parameter is set to a large value, it takes a longer time
for the SCell to be deactivated when its channel quality
is poor. During this time, the number of times residual
block errors occur increases and the cell throughput
decreases. However, setting this parameter to a large
value decreases the possibility for the SCell to get
deactivated. SCell deactivation may occur when
SRLTE/SLTE UEs periodically detect signals of another
RAT on an SCell frequency and cause a large number of
residual erroneous blocks.
When this parameter is set to a small value, it takes a
shorter time for the SCell to be deactivated when its
channel quality is poor. This reduces the number of
times residual block errors occur. However, setting this
parameter to a small value increases the possibility for
the SCell to get deactivated.

FTCA2CCAnchorPolicy Anchor Meaning: Indicates whether to prioritize an FDD or TDD

Policy for CC in PCC anchoring for FDD+TDD 2CC CA. For
FDD and FDD+TDD 2CC CA, if a TDD CC serves as the PCC for
TDD 2CC a UE, the UE can obtain the gains brought by downlink
beamforming, increasing downlink UE throughput.
Therefore, it is recommended that this parameter be set
to TDD(TDD). If this parameter is set to NULL(NULL),
FDD and TDD CCs are not prioritized in PCC anchoring
in FDD+TDD 2CC CA.
GUI Value Range: FDD(FDD), TDD(TDD), NULL(NULL)
Unit: None
Actual Value Range: FDD, TDD, NULL
MML Default Value: None

FTCAMultiCCAnchorPolicy Anchor Meaning: Indicates whether to prioritize an FDD or TDD

Policy for CC in PCC anchoring for FDD+TDD multi-CC CA. For
FDD and FDD+TDD multi-CC CA, if a TDD CC serves as the PCC
TDD Multi for a UE, ACK/NACK feedback resources for downlink
CC data are limited, decreasing downlink throughput.
Therefore, it is recommended that this parameter be set
to FDD(FDD). If this parameter is set to NULL(NULL),
FDD and TDD CCs are not prioritized in PCC anchoring
in FDD+TDD multi-CC CA.
GUI Value Range: FDD(FDD), TDD(TDD), NULL(NULL)
Unit: None
Actual Value Range: FDD, TDD, NULL

UlHeavyTrafficMlbTFCAOpt UL Heavy Meaning: Indicates whether to trigger an uplink traffic-

Sw Traffic MLB based blind handover to an LTE FDD cell. When a
Optimize FDD+TDD CA UE using a TDD carrier as the PCC is to
Switch be handed over to an FDD SCell of the UE for uplink
traffic-based MLB, eNodeB instructs the UE to perform a
blind handover and includes the SCC configuration (if
available) of the target FDD cell in the handover
instruction. This parameter applies only to LTE TDD
networks.
GUI Value Range: OFF(Off), ON(On)
Unit: None
Actual Value Range: OFF, ON
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: If the target LTE FDD cell
provides continuous coverage, select the
UlHeavyTrafficMlbTFCAOptSw check box. If the target
LTE FDD cell does not provide continuous coverage,
deselect the UlHeavyTrafficMlbTFCAOptSw check box.
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: If the
UlHeavyTrafficMlbTFCAOptSw check box is selected,
an uplink traffic-based handover to an LTE FDD cell is
triggered. When a FDD+TDD CA UE using a TDD
carrier as the PCC is to be handed over to an FDD SCell
of the UE for uplink traffic-based MLB, eNodeB instructs
the UE to perform a blind handover and includes the
SCC configuration (if available) of the target FDD cell in
the handover instruction. This reduces the impact of
gap-assisted measurement on the throughput, speeds
up the CA configuration process, and improves user
experience. However, the UE may be switched to a non-
optimal cell, which may trigger a measurement-based
handover after the blind handover. If the
UlHeavyTrafficMlbTFCAOptSw check box is deselected,
a measurement-based handover is triggered to ensure
that the UE is switched to an optimal cell. However, this
handover requires gap-assisted measurement, reduces
the user rate, slows down the CA configuration process,
and affects user experience.
Applicable Mode: L

SccReactivationTime SCC Meaning: Indicates the minimum interval to reactivate an

Reactivatio SCell based on the traffic volume after the eNodeB
n Time deactivates the SCell based on the CQI or RBLER. The
recommended value is 5s for a commercial network. In a
benchmark test, if the channel quality is occasionally
poor, a small value, for example, 1s is recommended.
This can increase the SCell activation duration.
GUI Value Range: 1~5
Unit: s
Actual Value Range: 1~5
MML Default Value: None
Recommended Value: 5
Parameter Relationship: None
Service Interrupted After Modification: No (And no
impact on the UE in idle mode)
Impact on Radio Network Performance: A smaller value
of this parameter results in more frequent SCell
activations and deactivations. If the channel quality is
poor, there is a high probability of ping-pong SCell
activation and deactivation. A larger value of this
parameter results in the opposite effect.
Applicable Mode: L

Example

To modify Carrier Aggregation Management Configuration as follows:

Local cell ID: 0, CA-based A2 RSRP Threshold: -108, CA-based A4 RSRP
Threshold: -105, run the following command:
MOD CAMGTCFG: LocalCellId=0, CarrAggrA2ThdRsrp=-108,
CarrAggrA4ThdRsrp=-105;
