It is with a sincere heart and great pride that I recommend Miss Annabelle
Horton into the 2017 – 2018 Teen Service Group for the Ronal McDonald House
Charities & Children’s Hospital. Anna is the epitome of both a true scholar and a
natural-born leader. She is loved and respected by both her fellow peers and every
adult she comes in contact with. She is an elegant young lady who conducts herself
with self-respect, dignity and respect. Anna is a “student leader” in every sense of the
word. She is always willing to lend a listening ear and a helping hand to her peers.
Miss Annabelle Horton will be a great asset to your organization.

I’ve had the pleasure of working closely with Anna for five years. As one of the
English Language Arts & Reading Educators / 9th Grade Composition & Literature
Courses at Esther F. Garrison School for the Arts, it was more than my pleasure to teach
Anna. Her grace (always the graceful dancer), sense of style, and her calm demeanor set
the tone for student leadership at its best - academic excellence. Her signature smile,
“take charge” personality and her organizational skills are trademark. You never see
her without a smile on her face or a willingness to help others.

Anna always has a kind word that extends to both staff and students alike. Her
peers seek her approval, value her opinion, and consider her to be a positive influence
in their lives. Her leadership style reflects accountability, and shared responsibility
coupled with mutual respect. For the past two years, she has single-handedly
spearheaded the decorating and event planning for the 8th grade formal.
Again, I whole-heartedly recommend that Miss Annabelle Horton be considered
for admission into the Teen Service Group for the Ronald McDonald House Charities
