INSTRUCTIONS

 Open http://192.168.121.230/CampusLynxIITR) in your browser. Recommended


web browser is Mozilla FireFox. If it is not available, then Internet Explorer 6+
with Adobe Flash player plug-in version 10 (which can be downloaded from
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/).

 Login using using your Enrollment No. as the USER ID and a common password
ACAD@123. (Passwords are case sensitive). You should immediately change
the password when you login for the first time.

 Click “Go to web kiosk ” link in the screen > Go to Student Main Menu.

 In the Web Kiosk application, in the menu on the left hand side, click on
“Personal Info”. There will be a link to open the “Complete Registration form”.

 In this form, update all the fields which are open for you. Some fields are
mandatory e.g (Bank Name, Bank Account No, Your permanent address, cell no
and E-mail id).

 After filling the form, click on the “SAVE” button at the upper end of the page.

(Note: In case you get a message “ Please remove the validation errors first”, it
means some mandatory fields are blank. Complete these fields and then Save
again till you do not get the error)

 After the form has been completed, click on Academic Info menu. Under this,
click on “Registration Card Printing”.

 Double click on “semester code”. It will show Spring 2011.

 Click on the execute button to generate the institute copy and student copy of
academic registration card.

 Take a print of both the copies.


(Note: Ensure that all your information is filled-in. Empty or incomplete forms
shall be rejected by the faculty assigned).

 Affix your recent photograph in the empty space provided on both the copies.

 Go to the faculty member assigned for your class and present him the “Institute
Copy”.

 Collect your “Subject Registration Card” from the faculty assigned. Check all the
subjects registered. Make changes, if any, in respect of courses and the total
credits. Sign the subject registration card.

 Submit the Institute Copy and the signed Subject Registration Card to the faculty
assigned.

 Go to the fee deposit counter and deposit the Semester Fee. Only then the
registration process will complete.

(IMPORTANT: AS ADVISED BY ACCOUNTS OFFICE, ALL THE STUDENTS ARE


REQUIRED TO OPEN A BANK ACCOUNT EITHER IN PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK
(PNB) OR IN STATE BANK OF INDIA (SBI), IIT ROORKEE BRANCH. THOSE WHO
DO NOT HAVE, PLEASE TAKE ACTION IMMEDIATELY)

 After the completion of the above process, only then you will be registered in the
Spring Semester. Once completed, a message will be displayed in your login
account “Your Academic Registration for Spring Semester 2010-2011 has been
Completed”.
USER MANUAL

1. STUDENT LOGIN FORM:-

This login form is used for the Students login. By using a valid login id and password student get
logged IN , the main screen of the form is shown below-

This form contains the following fields-

Institute: - This list type button is used to select the institute from the given list. Like- Indian
Institute of Technology Roorkee.

User ID:- This input text type field is used to enter the user id, generally the students enrollment
is used as UserID.
Password: - This input text type field is used to enter the password corresponding to the
entered student UserID. The password is provided at the time UserID is given.

Login: - This click type login button is used to validate the UserID and the passwords entered
herein. After the validation of UserID and password, following screen is displayed.

Back: - This click type back button is used to display the previous screen (main page).

Forget password: - This click type button is used to open the option when the user forgets
his/her password.

By using this, the user regenerates his/her password if qualifies the validations.
PERSONAL INFO

The personal info form is used for displaying the personal information of the student stored in
the database like Name, enrollment no., Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, category, Date of
Birth, semester Correspondence Address, and Permanent Address etc. The Personal
Information will be displayed according to the login User Id of the respective person.

After student login, click on link Student Main Menu, the following screen is displayed.

This screen contains following options-

1. My personal info.

2. Change/update contact information.

3. Complete registration form.


MY PERSONAL INFO

This screen is used to display the personal information of the student stored in the database.
After selecting ‘My Personal Info’, the student can see all the information as shown below-
Complete registration form

This form is used to complete the student registration process. It contains the following fields-
Personal details (tab selection):- In this tab, the personal details about the student is entered.
This tab page contains the following fields-

Date of birth:-This input/ text type field is used to enter the date of birth of student.

Gender: - This list type button is used to select the gender of the student.

Parent/ guardian occupation:-This input/ text type field is used to define the occupation of the
student‘s father/ guardian occupation.

Mother‘s name: - This input/ text type field is used to define the mother’s name of the student.

Annual Income:- this input/ text type field is used to fill the annual income.

Father’s name: - This input/ text type field is used to define the father’s name of the student.

State of domicile: - This input/ text type field is used to define the state of domicile.

Nationality: - This input/ text type field is used to define the nationality of the student.
Religion: - This input/ text type field is used to define the religion of the student.

Blood group:- This input/ text type field is used to define the blood group of the student.

Category: - This input/ text type field is used to define the category of the student.

Mother tongue: - This input/ text type field is used to define the mother tongue language of the
student.

Semester: - This input/ text type field is used to define the semester of the student.

Residence status: - In this field there are two options as radio button to select city/ village.

Bank name: - This input/ text type field is used to capture the bank name where student is
having an account.

Account number: - This input/ text type field is used to capture the account number on the
student.

Marital status:-This list type button is used to set the marital status i.e. Married / Unmarried.

Academic qualification (tab selection):- In this tab academic qualification of the student is
entered. It contains the following fields:
Qualification:- This input/ text type field is used to enter the educational qualification of the
student.

Name of board:- This input/ text type field is used to enter the name of the board of the
qualification entered.

Maximum marks:- This input/ text type field is used to enter the maximum marks of the
student.

Marks obtain: - This input/ text type field is used to enter the obtained marks of the student.

Exam passed: - This input/ text type field is used to enter the name of the exam passed by the
student.

Year of passing: - This input/ text type field is used to enter the exam passing year of the
student.

Division: - This list type button is used to select the division of the student.

Other detail (tab selection):- In this tab field the other information like present or permanent
address related to the student is entered. It contains the following fields :
Address of Parent/ Guardian for Correspondence: This input/ text type field is used to define
the correspondence address of the Parent / Guardian.

Country: - This input/ text type field is used to define the country of the student’s parent/
guardian.

State/ city/ district/ post/ police stn./ railway stn. :- This input/text type field is used to enter
the State/ city/ district/ post/ police stn./ railway stn. of students’ parent/ guardian.

Permanent Address of Parent/ Guardian: This input/ text type field is used to enter the
permanent address of the Parent / Guardian.

Country:- This input/text type field is used to enter the country of the student’s parent/ guardian
.

State/ city/ district/ post/ police stn./ railway stn. :- This input/text type field is used to enter
the State/city/district/post/police stn./railway stn. of students’ parent/ guardian

Student phone (tab selection):- In this tab field the contact details of student is entered. it
contains the following fields.
STD Code: - This input/text type tab field is used to enter the STD code of the student contact
number.

Telephone no.:- This input/text type tab field is used to define the telephone no. of the student.

Cell no: - This input/text type tab field is used to define the cell phone no. of the student.

E-mail ID: - This input/text type tab field is used to define the e-mail ID of the student.

STD code: - This input/ text type tab field is used to define the std code of the student’s parent
contact number.

Telephone no.:- This input/ text type tab field is used to define the telephone no. of the
student’s parent.

Cell no: - This input/ text type tab field is used to define the cell phone no. of the student’s
parent.

E-mail ID: - This input/ text type tab field is used to define the e-mail ID of the student’s parent.

Local Guardian: - This tab contains the information about the local guardian of the student. It
contains the following fields-
Local guardian name: - This input/text type field is used to enter the local guardian’s name of
the student.

Local guardian address: - This input/text type field is used to enter the Local guardian’s
address of the student.

Local guardian phone no.:- This input/text type field is used to enter the Local guardian’s
phone no. of the student.

Tick button: - This click type ‘tick’ button is used to validate the filled entries.

Delete button: - This click type tick button is used to delete the selected entries.

Abort button:- This click type abort button is used to cancel the entries entered.

Save button:-This click type save button is used to save the entries entered.
Registration card printing

In the academic info module, the registration card printing form is used
to print the student registration card corresponding to the selected
semester code. This form contains the following fields-

Semester code: - This input text type field is used to select the semester code. After
double click on the filed the list of codes will be displayed automatically . Select the
desired record from this list by double clicking the record. It is a mandatory field.

Execute button: - After selection of the semester code ,user can click this execute
button to generate the registration card for particular semester code. One sample of the
generated semester registration card is given below.
