Base of what I read in this article I agree of the others who said that it was one the

beautiful masterpieces of Rizal, he did make a critical study in causes why the
countermen did not work during the Spanish regime, and indolence does not exist
in our society that we are leaving today, and we cannot deny the fact that indolence
is a indolence and as Filipino we cannot deny to disobeying the rule, like traffic
rule and sometimes as a Filipino we don’t want to work for a simple reason, we
don’t want to waste our time, just like when we have something to do, and as a
Pinoy we have a negative habit example “mamaya nalang or bukas nalang” and I
agree in this article.
And according to this article before the Spaniards, Filipino is a hardworking in the
agriculture, Filipino workers and farmers is earlier to rise in the morning to do a
planting and harvesting every day, and the Spaniards is the first noticed that
Filipino have enough of food and they are generous, and one this article is
mentioned about the weather is one of the reason, comparing the tropical and non-
tropical, Tropical is sun is so high and the workers have attempt to rest during that
time because of the weather and non-tropical is the time that they can work hard.
The Philippines which then became a Spanish colony; had undergo all sorts of
deprivation. It was not a mere act of injustice; rather, it eventually involved to
inhumanity becoming highly evident. Oppression and exploitation among the
Filipino people are what urged Jose Rizal to finally utilize writing as his means to
defend the Filipino people from the violent hands of the Spaniards. The Spaniards
domination was experienced at hand by Rizal; with an intellectual interpretation,
he was to realize how badly was autonomy of the Spaniards with in the country of
Philippines. Instead of establishing linkage towards the Filipinos by helping them
and building up a state whose governance lays of the hands of its own people; the
Spaniards took the powerless Filipino to their advantage. It was not a worthwhile
colonization, after all. Although the Spaniards took part of the progress happening
in the Philippines today, many still tend to miss out on the unfortunate events
contributed by these colonizers. They made us seems like servant of their own- in
the country which they do not own, to begin with. Such history still gives a big
impact to circumstance of today; we shouldn’t let other country, however powerful
and authoritarian, enslaves us and keep us powerless. It is high time that we
become critical thinkers and across towards rampant issue rising in the country.
