Preface
This manual is intended as a guide for the commissioning test or acceptance test,
describing the test items to be conducted in detail. Each test item is provided with a
table, which contains the columns Precondition, Procedure, Acceptance criteria, and
Remark.

The manual includes all test items to be performed in the commissioning test record
and the acceptance test record. Each test item has a unique Test No., which corresponds
to that in commissioning/acceptance test record.

1 Hardware Inspection
1.1 ODC Visual Inspection

2 Installation
2.1 Installation

Installation site preparation finished and it is ready for installation.

Following standard installation procedure, install the cabinet appropriately.

3 Equipment power-on test

3.1 Cabinet power-on test

Preconditions:
Cabinet is installed appropriately. And it is ready for running.

Test procedure:
Power on cabinet; check every component’s running status, including EPS, power unit (if any), fans (if any).

4.1 ADSL service test

Preconditions:
1. The networking of the equipment is performed according to Fig 1 Networking Diagram in Section 7.
2. The equipment has been commissioned. The equipment at the uplink network side is normal

Test procedure:
1. Connect ADSL modem to ADSL card by user cable, active/de-active ADSL modem.
2. Establish the PVC channel between the ADSL user board and Modem. The VPI/VCI value at the port side
interconnected with the Modem is corresponding to the VPI/VCI value of PVC in the Modem. The user can access
the Internet normally

Acceptance standards:
1. The modem can be active or de-active normally.
2. In procedure 2, if the network side is normal, the user can access the Internet normally

4.2 FE service test

1. Connect LAN switch to FE card by FE cable(copper or fiber), and connect PC to LAN switch.
2. The PC user access internet by PPPOE via LAN switch.
Acceptance standards:
The FE user can access internet successfully.

4.3 POTS service test

Preconditions:
1. The networking of the equipment is performed according to Fig 1 Networking Diagram in Section 7.
2. The equipment has been commissioned. The equipment at the uplink network side is normal

Test procedure:
1. Setup the H248/SIP connection between MxU and call control equipment (SS/IMS)
2. Connect telephone to VOIP card by user cable
3. Pick up telephone, check dial-tone.
4. Dial another telephone number, check ring back tone.
5. Make a call with another POTS user, check the call service. Receive a call, check the ring tone, and receive call
service.
6. Pick up the phone again, and dial a busy number, check the busy tone.
Acceptance standards:
1. The H248/SIP connection can be setup normally.
2. The dial tone is normal.
3. The ring back tone is normal.
4. The voice service in the call is normal.
5. The ring tong is normal.
6. The busy tone is normal.

Preconditions:
1. The networking of the equipment is performed according to Fig 1 Networking Diagram in Section 7.
2. The equipment has been commissioned. The equipment at the uplink network side is normal

Test procedure:
Connect the test equipments according to the above environment. Where Modem is ADSL2+ modem or VDSL2+ modem
which supports PVC binding to Ethernet port.
On the MxU, configure two VLAN: VLAN1 for IPTV service, VLAN2 for internet service. Create two PVC for the DSL
port: PVC1 and PVC2. Add the uplink port to VLAN1-VLAN2, add PVC1 to VLAN1, PVC2 to VLAN2, And configure
multicast service channel.
On the Modem, bind the Ethernet port which connect STB to PVC1, bind the Ethernet port which connect PC to PVC2.
On the MxU, configure two services to two different priority queue, for example, IPTV to QUEUE2, internet to
QUEUE1, where priority: QUEUE2> QUEUE1.
Make a call from the phone and keep talking, at the same time demand IPTV (HD channel) program from the STB and
download big size file (above 1G bytes) from Internet ( some websites in Viet Nam) on the PC.
Make a call from the phone and keep talking, then demand IPTV (HD channel) program from the STB and keep
watching, at the same time download big size file (above 1G bytes) from Internet on the PC.
Acceptance standards:
, hen demand and watch IPTV program from the STB and download big size file from Internet on the PC, the phone
service should not be affected.
, when download big size file from Internet on the PC, the phone service and IPTV service should not be affected.

Note: for FE user, only test Internet+IPTV service.

5 Environment Monitoring test

5.1 Temperature sensor test

Check cabinet temperature value from NMS client.
Make temperature alarm. And view temperature alarm from NMS client.

6 Additional Test
6.1 ADSL2+ Rate and distance Test

ADSL2+ Rate and distance Test
Preconditions:
1. The networking of the equipment is performed according to Fig 1 Networking Diagram in Section 7.
2. The equipment has been commissioned. The equipment at the uplink network side is normal

Test procedure:
1. Connect ADSL modem to ADSL card by user cable, active/de-active ADSL modem.
2. Configure adsl profile to fast mode, no rate limit and apply to the tested port.
3. Check the ADSL port bit rate at distance 1km 1.5km 3km 5km.
4. Use FTP client to download file from internal and external network sit and record the download rate.(*)
Notes:
(*) For the download rate, we can use FTP client to download from FTP server the client can show the download rate,
The test cable diameter is 0.4mm
Acceptance standards:
1. The modem can be active or de-active normally.
2. In procedure 3, internet and IPTV (SD and HD) service can reach to 1.5km distance and internet service can reach
to 5km.
3. the download speed of user just can reach 80% of warranty rate for internal network and 60% of warranty rate for
external network

- Warranty Rate (Mbps): Maximum rate can be provide via ADSL line at a specific distance.
- Test Rate for Internal server (Mbps): To use FTP client to download file from inernal or external server, and
record the download speed. The client shows the download speed

6.2 Triple play QOS Test

Preconditions:
1. The networking of the equipment is performed according to Fig 1 Networking Diagram in Section 7.
2. The equipment has been commissioned. The equipment at the uplink network side is normal

Test procedure:
1. Connect ADSL modem to ADSL card by user cable, active/de-active ADSL modem.
2. Configure three different VLAN and PVC for triple play services:
for VOIP: use VLAN1 and PVC1, set priority to 7
for HSI: use VLAN2 and PVC2, set priority to 0
for IPTV: use VLAN3 and PVC3, set priority to 5
3. Run the triple play service:
for VOIP service : use phone to make a phone from IMS server and keep talk.
for IPTV service: use STB to get HD IPTV program. The program bandwidth about 8M
For HSI service: use PC to download file from FTP server
4. Limit the port rate to 15M and check triple play services
5. Limit the port rate to 10M and check the triple play services
6. Limit the port rate to 3M and check the triple play services
Acceptance standards:
1. The modem can be active or de-active normally.
2. In procedure 4, VOIP、IPTV and HSI services work normally

1. The networking of the equipment is performed according to Fig 2 Networking Diagram in Section 7.
2. The equipment has been commissioned. The equipment at the uplink network side is normal

Test procedure:
1. Connect ADSL modem to ADSL card by user cable, active/de-active ADSL modem.
2. Configure adsl line profile to fast mode
3. Use traffic generator to send packet and record the packet loss ratio, delay and jitter. (CPE1 pings CPE2 : CPE1-
MxU-CPE2 )

Acceptance standards:
1. The modem can be active or de-active normally.
2. In procedure 2,the packet loss ration below 2x7.6x10-5 ,delay below 2x9ms and jitter below 2x4ms .
Note: For loop length < 1km, the test rate is around 1Mbps/20Mbps for upstream and downstream

3. Check the bit rate for downstream and upstream
4. Change modem to TP-LINK (T8817) and Planet, Huawei, Goldtel types
5. Check the bit rate for downstream and upstream again.

Acceptance standards:
1. The modem can be active or de-active normally.
2. In procedure 3,5, all modem can work ok.
