Floating (Walk-in) Interview

Advertisement No. I/X/2010

Applications are invited for engagement of Project Assistant Level–III initially up to March, 2012
to work under the project entitled "Establishment of Digital Information Resource Facility" which
includes building of Tier II Level Data Centre at NISCAIR, Dr. K.S.Krishnan Marg, Near Pusa
Campus, New Delhi-ll0012.

1. Minimum Educational Qualifications:

MCA or B.E./B.Tech. (Computer Science/Information Technology) with at least 55%
Marks in qualifying degree which is relaxable by 5% in case of SC/ST candidates.
Candidate must have two years post degree experience in area of Network Hardware
Technologies.
OR
M.E / M.Tech. in Computer Science/Information Technology
Desirable: Ability to monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN and TCP/IP related Issues.
Must have knowledge of maintenance of Routers, Layer 3 Switches, Firewall etc.
2. Fixed Remuneration: Rs. 14,000/- (p.m.) Level-III
3. No. of position: Two
4. Age Limit: Not exceeding 32 years (Relaxable for statutory groups and women as per rule)
General Conditions:
a) The engagement shall not stand any claim for appointment in NISCAIR/CSIR temporary
or otherwise. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim, implicit or explicit for
consideration for regularization/absorption. The advertisement and prescribed
application form can be downloaded from NISCAIR website http://www.niscair.res.in.
b) Leave: Project Assistant will be entitled for one day leave for each completed month's
service.
c) Reservation: As regards reservation, if all things are equal, SC/ST/OBC candidates may
be given preference over General candidates so as to ensure their representation.
d) Medical Facilities: Project Assistants will not be entitled for any medical facilities either
through CSIR Dispensaries or under CS (MA) Rules, however, under emergent
circumstances, Labs./Instt. may give emergency treatment/consultation through CSIR
Dispensaries, but they will not be eligible for reimbursement of medical expenses.
e) There would be no component of HRA, increment etc. for Project Assistants, and only
the consolidated remuneration to be paid to Project Assistants may be called "Stipend".
• Candidate should possess the required educational qualification and experience as
on date of interview.
• Mode of Selection: In case large number of candidates turns up, the candidates will
be shortlisted for interview by a duly constituted Screening Committee. Only the
short-listed candidates shall be interviewed by Selection Committee. The panel so
prepared will be utilized for engagement as Project Assistants as and when
requirement arise.
 • Relaxation of age for SC/ST/PH/OBC will be applicable as per Govt. of India
instructions.

Eligible candidates may appear together with duly filled-in downloaded Application Form (back-
to-back), for “Floating (Walk-in) Interview” on 19/10/2010 between at 9.00 A.M. Candidates will
not be entertained after 09.30 AM in the Conference hall of the Institute, along-with latest
passport size photograph, original and attested copies of all certificates/testimonials.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH, should bring copies of certificates in the proper format
issued by the appropriate authority as per the latest instructions issued from time to time on the
subject.

NO TA will paid to the candidates for appearing at the interview.
