The maximum Axial Force occuring during the Short Circuit is 296 Tons at the
Maximum Tap position, as per the HITACHI Program for the Calculation of Dynamic Forces during
Short Circuit. The Calculation furnished above shows that the Densified Wood Clamp Plate of 50 t
provided on the top of the winding and the core clamping structure is rigid enough with sufficient margin
to withstand the Dynamic Axial Force of 300 Tons. Also it can be seen that the Coil Clamping Push
Bolts (M36 x 32 Nos.) are also having sufficient safety margins and will not yield / fail during
Short Circuit.
