INTRODUCTION
Vardhan Consulting Engineers (“VCE”) is an organization founded and managed by highly experienced
engineers and management professionals. We are a premium organization for this generation needs of
students, companies and institutions. We provide special internships and training program for core sector
engineers and management students. Especially for the students who are pursuing degree in Mechanical,
Electrical, Civil and Energy Engineering OR students who are pursuing MBA, M Com, M Eco and interested
in working in next generation technological and management solutions.

ABOUT THIS INTERNSHIP


There are two internship category one is Engineering Students and other is Management Students. There
are six projects offered in this internship. Candidate need to select one project at a time. (See page 2).

LOCATION
 Work from Home, Online Internship

DURATION
 8 weeks (14 hours per week), High level of flexibility.

MENTORSHIP
 Experienced Mentor from Industry

WHO CAN APPLY?


 Any student pursuing Bachelors / Masters degree can apply. But preference will be given to
candidates who doing MBA, M Com, M Eco and M Tech but we encourage students from B.Tech,
BBA, B Com, B Eco also to apply.

 If the student is passed out, or preparing for a competitive exam (CAT / GATE / IAS) or doing
another internship at the same time or looking for Job are most likely to get REJECTED.

INTERN WORK PROFILE


 The interns need to select one project out of the 6 projects offered in this internship. This internship
is divided in 4 modules for the Basics, Analysis, Commercial and Reporting of the project. At the
end of each module one Smart Task will be given that needs to be finished and submitted by each
intern in order to get the details of next module.

 The details of the projects are explained in the page2 of this document. For all the detailed
information please read the FAQ and Answers (Page3) of this document.

 Apart from that, every intern should an must go through our FREECorporate Skill Development
program, where we develop essential skills of the interns for the corporate requirement.

SELECTION PROCEDURE
The selection will be done by two step process, in the first phase the shortlisting of CV is done. In this
phase we remove the candidates who do not satisfy our criteria. In the second phase we remove candidate
as per their profile and interests. In some cases, we take telephonic/skype interview.

Project Finance – Modeling and Analysis
In this project, interns need to learn and understand the concepts of IRR, DSCR, MBA, M Eco, M Com
Debt-Equity, long term infrastructure financing, Non-recourse debt. Preparation of

Climate Change and Sustainable Development – Analysis & Strategy

T his is a very special project for the candidates who wish to be in a key managerial
position in their life or in next 5 years. Especially in finance, operations, business MBA, M Sc, M Eco, M Com
development, sales, marketing, supply chain and logistics. T his project will help in
strategies and decision making process for the interns. (Any other UG/PG candidate who wish to

find out essential skill and knowledge required to do that job.
Second part is to analyze the real case studies related to the profile or sector. T he
learning through actual case studies of Indian and Global companies is a best way
to learn about the working of big corporate.

Solar PV – Simulation and Designing


T his is the project for technical analysis, designing and simulation of Solar PV BE / B Tech / ME / M Tech
Power Plants for Annual Energy Production and Losses Analysis. Working on
Solar Resource Assessment, PVSyst Software is a part of this project. Analysis of (Only for students from Electrical,
Renewable Energy sector and development in India. Mechanical, Civil and Energy Engineering
Branch)
Electric Vehicle – Techno-Commercial Analysis
Automobiles on road contribute to 60% of air-pollution. Electric Vehicle (Personnel BE / B Tech / ME / M Tech
and Commercial) is the future. In this internship, interns will do a complete techno-
commercial-designing analysis along with the challenges on the implementations (Only for students from Electrical, and
of Electric Vehicle in India. Success so far in India. Mechanical Engineering Branch)

Waste to Energy – MSW Management


Our country generates about 1 Lakh ton of municipal solid waste (“MSW”) every BE / B Tech / ME / M Tech
day. It’s the biggest problem of future. In this project, the interns need to
understand the various means of MSW Management by converting it into usable (Only for students from Electrical,
materials and fuels and scientifically sanitary dumping of waste. Waste2Energy and Mechanical, Civil and Energy Engineering

Green Building – Calculation and Ratings


Analysis, calculations and designing of energy efficient buildings (“Green BE / B Tech / ME / M Tech
Buildings”). Solar passive architecture for minimizing thermal and lighting load of
buildings. Understanding the green rating systems standards and code (“GRIHA” (Only for students from Electrical,
and “USGBC”) for India and World. Corporate Standard Reporting on Green Mechanical, Civil and Energy Engineering
Building Practices. Branch)

1. Please apply in the project which is related to your field of study. There is a reason why we are allowing only certain branches and course
for specific project. The tasks in the projects are specific not generic.

2. If you have a very strong interest in a project which is not related to your field of study. Then you can still apply, we admire your interest

1. This is a work from home internship, then how it will be done and is it effective?
Ans –Its effective because we understand the pulse of a good internship. Which needs a good mentor, good project
and a good system to learn, we provide all this to you. Even in big companies now a days the manager/ boss/ mentor
may not sit in office all the time, and the interns ends up getting instructions on email. Being Work-From-Home
internship, you can avoid the hassle of traveling and wasting time in sitting in office 6-8 hours and doing a work
which can be finished in 2 hours.
Interns should and must have proper internet connectivity with them during this internship, along with laptop or
smart phone.T he interactions with the mentor and HR will be done through these online platforms Google
Classroom, Youtube LIVE, WhatsApp and Skype and hence interns should install these apps in their phone/ laptop.
2. Do I get a mentor? How can and how often I can contact him?
Ans – Yes you will get a mentor who is from industry/ corporate having 10+ years of experience in India and
Abroad. T ill now he successfully mentored 200+ interns in past 10 years. You can easily contact him on E-Mail,
WhatsApp or Call. T he interactions with the mentor and HR will be done through these online platforms Google
Classroom, Youtube LIVE, WhatsApp and Skype and hence interns should install these apps in their phone/ laptop.
You can contact him as much times as you want for proper doubts and queries and he is happy to help.Interns are
free to speak to their mentor anytime for any doubt clearance. T he mentor should also take skype group calls for
clearing doubts and explaining about each module.
3. What is the motto and purpose of this internship? Is this only training?
Ans – Our motto is to fill the gap/ void between the corporate/ industry requirements and the college education.
Especially, in core sector (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Energy Engineering and Project Finance) which is very
important but a struggling sector.
No, it’s not just a training, here we give proper instructions to the candidates and also personally interact with
them and their progress with skill development. For free training student can visit NPT EL, Udemy, Un-Academy,
edx, Coursera etc.).
T his internship is divided in 4 modules with a smart task at the end of each module. T he information of module 1
and smart task 01 will be given on joining this internship but the information of module 2 will be given only when
the intern submits the smart task 01.
4. Tell me about Corporate Skill Development Program? Why it is included in this internship?
Ans – With our experience, we analyzed that students should and must develop their other skills as well along with
the academic skills. T hese skills are very important for entering in corporate and also growing inside the corporate.
We found that students are more focused and engaged in participating / managing and coordinating many events
and activities but forget to identify, learn and save the skills developed from those events / activities.
Also, we feel that students are very much trapped / indulge in many things that they think are important for their
success but they end up wasting their time and energy in it. We are going to develop those skillset and mindset in
them. Hence, every intern should and must join our free CSD program along with this internship. It will be an easy
program where you only need to watch videos and do self-evaluation. T his program is very important for skill
development and improvement.
5. Is it possible to do this internship along with my college / preparation / other involvements?
Ans – Yes, it’s possible, but you need to manage your time properly, the requirements of this internship are, you
need to devote 20 hours per week. It means if you sit down and work for 1-2 hours every day you can easily finish
this internship. Working / involve somewhere else along with internship can’t be an excuse to delay submitting
the tasks of this internship.

6. I am NOT familiar with this project? Can I still be able to do this internship?
Ans – Yes you can. As most of the interns have none/ very little knowledge of this project. It’s an internship so, we
have no expectations from the candidates to have any prior knowledge and we expects the candidate to have a zeal
to learn and work in this sector.
7. What is the basis of selection in this internship? Why there is an un-paid interns list?
Ans – T he basis of selection / selection procedure of this internship is the assessment of need and importance of
this internship in any candidate’s nearby career. We prefer NOT T O select passed out students or students who
are preparing for GAT E/ CAT / UPSC exams.
We are a new organization and hence we have our expenses which is currently beared by our promoters. Still, we
pay stipend to few candidates for encouragement. Hence, we cannot give stipend to more number of interns but, we
can provide a free learning opportunity to a greater number of candidates without paying them stipend.
From our side there is NO difference between PAID and UN-PAID interns in terms of training, mentoring and
learning and certification. T he only difference is stipend which will be PAID to the PAID interns only.
8. My name is in the list, did I need to pay anything during this internship?
Ans –NO, if you are selected and your name is there in the list (Paid / UnPaid) you are NOT required/ supposed
to pay anything during the internship. It’s absolutely FREE for you.
9. How can I finish my internship?
Ans –T he duration for the internship is 8 weeks. But interns can join and finish the internship as per their
convenience. T hey can also take break in between (For mid-sem test or any important event). Since this internship
is an individual event and hence the group’s timeline doesn’t matter.
Once the intern finishes the Module 1 to Module 4 and submits the Smart Task 01 – Smart T ask 04, with the Final
Internship Report then they need to attend a Final Interaction Call with the mentor and then he/ she will be
awarded with the Certificate of Completion and Letter of Recommendation.
10. Is there is any penalty / action will be taken if I dropout from this internship in middle?
Ans – NO penalty/ action, Any intern can leave this internship anytime. We believe that NO learning can be given
by force.he/ she should send us a email mentioning the reason for leaving the internship.
11. Tell me about personnel data protection and discipline in this internship.
Ans –Everyintern should and must abide with the Non-Disclosure Agreement with our organization and hence
any disclosing or leaking of information (positive or negative, intentional or unintentional, planned or by mistake)
is NOT acceptable and NOT allowed.
Every intern should and must follow professionalism (written and verbal) during interacting with HR / Staff /
Mentor / Co-Interns. Any aggression or mis-behave with our staff and co-interns are not acceptable and it’s a
punishable offence under IPC. W e will take strict action against mis-behaving interns as we have large number of
females interning with us.

Mentorship
T he biggest benefit and main USP of internship offered by VCE is the mentor provided by the organization. T hey provide
mentor from industry having 10+ years of hands on experience and still working. T he mentor is highly professional and hence
we get the knowledge of technical, industrial and commercial aspects of our project. Apart from that the mentor shows huge
involvement individually with each intern progress and understanding.
Online and Well Structured
T he second cool thing about the internship offered by VCE is that it’s online and well structured. We got proper offer letter;
proper modules are set along with smart tasks. It feels like they know what they are offering and how they need to offer. T he
video sessions, audio session, Google Classroom and WhatsApp groups for proper spread of information is good. It lets you feel
connected and LIVE.
Motivation and Push
T he rule of no relaxation on smart tasks followed by VCE looks very tough in the beginning then you realize that, getting the
next module only when you submit the smart task is the best and efficient way to maintain the push in the internship. Also,
when you start seeing other guys submitting the task gives you motivation to finish and gain the confidence. Otherwise, in other
internships, interns usually gets the certificate even if they don’t do their work properly. At VCE, after getting the certificate of
completion and the letter of recommendation from mentor motivates us to work / think further in the sector.
Flexibility and Extension
T his is also a unique feature in this internship that, you can get extensions and you have the flexibility to pause the internship
if any mid-sem or event come in the middle. By this flexibility one can learn, understand and finish the internship as per the
convenience. Hence, there is NO need to finish the internship anyhow to just get the certificate.
Projects and Detailing
T he thing that enticed many of us to join this internship is the projects offered in this internship and the detailing about those
projects in real corporate situations and works. T he projects are not theoretical or study-based project, where you just need to
read reports and make reports. Its based on what actually going on in corporates and energy companies and hence working on
these projects gives you the idea of the work profiles that you can opt when you want to go for job hunt or placements.
Corporate Skill Development
In the beginning most of us feels that its just another soft skill / personality development classes, but when you go through the
videos and explanations, you should feel the importance of this program along with the internship. T he program tells you that
how all the skills are important along with academics. Either it’s a listed or non-listed skill. T his program somehow changes
your life and the way you look or plan for success.
Post Internship Support
T his is the only organization where they properly guide you about what you should say / explain to HR / Interviewed if they
ask you about your internship and the project work after you finish your internship, if you mention this internship in your CV.
Also, they helped many students in getting job, preparing for CAT / GAT E/ GRE, finding good college while study abroad or
in India. Also, in other career/ counseling related queries even after the internship is over.
Proper Usage of Time
In most of the internships that usually done in corporate offices, lot of time got wasted in traveling, sitting idle, waiting time or
other office work, it basically eats up the whole day. You can’t even think of doing anything else. T hat won’t seem productive.
On the other hand, while doing internship at VCE, even with finishing the tasks on time and going through all the video and
audio sessions, we are able to finish college work, society work and other responsibilities as well.
We understand that there are many good companies, who pays really good stipend, where you get introduced to office work
culture and having a chance of PPO as well and you should surely prefer those companies.
But if you don’t have that internship option ready or you have spare 8 weeks after doing a corporate internship then interning
at VCE is a good option to try, you will never regret.
