1. SYNOPSIS:
Concentrated introduction to tools, techniques, and concepts underlying management of
information that are critical in understanding and dealing with problems arising in
development and use of MIT in Malaysia.
2. OBJECTIVES:
1. To understand basic ICT concepts and develop a basic technical vocabulary
2. To understand techniques for the development and use of IT in organisations.
3. To understand the changing role of information systems in organisations
4. To recognise and describe competitive and strategic uses of IT in organizations

3. ASSESSMENTS:
1x Written Case for journal article (Individual) 20 %
1x Innovative, interpersonal skills and attendance 10%
1x Business Cases (Group and individual) 30%
a) Information systems planning in an organization 20%
b) Survey e.g. Application of ISP in organisations 10%
