Isaiah 45 is the section focusing on the greatness of God the Father and addresses:
I. The True and Righteous God (Isaiah 45:18-19)
II. The Assembly of the Nations (Isaiah45:20-21)
III. Salvation for All (Isaiah 45:22-24)
IV. Justification in the Lord (Isaiah 45:25)
The reason for the conflict among Christians among this secondary
issue is because:
A. On one hand if Isaiah 48:18 and the fall of Satan in Ezekiel 28 is
placed between Genesis 1:1 & Genesis 1:2, that gives license to
many Christians to shove millions of years between the two
verses an merge their belief with science that contradicts the
bible.
B. On the other hand, Ezekiel 28:13 referring to Satan says, Thou
hast been in Eden the garden of God which was not created until
day six.
There is a primary issue that I want to discuss, and that’s the deity of
Jesus Christ:
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was
God.
John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that
was made.
John 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
o Creation
Father: Genesis 1:1; Genesis 2:4, 5; Psalm 102:25; Psalms 148:5; Proverbs 26:10;
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Psalm Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the
102:25 work of thy hands.
Psalm They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a
102:26 garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
Psalm But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.
102:27
Son: John 1:3; John 1:10; I Corinthians 8:6; Hebrews 1:10; Colossians 1:16
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word
was God.
John 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made
that was made.
Colossians For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in
1:16 earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or
principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
Colossians And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
1:17
Job 33:4 The spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given
me life.
So we see the Father responsible for creation in scripture, we see Jesus responsible
for scripture, and we see the Holy Spirit responsible for creation in scripture, but
there is only one God. In this divine and infinite Being there are three subsistences,
the Father, the Word (or Son), and Holy Spirit, of one substance, power and
eternity, each having the whole divine essence, yet the essence undivided
The new age and Theosophy prides it’s self on secret hidden, esoteric
knowledge only obtained by the so-called elite, but God frowns on that
kind of knowledge in the letter to the church in Thyatira, and calls it the
depths of Satan:
Revelation But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this
2:24 doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I
will put upon you none other burden.
Revelation But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.
2:25
The NIV actually uses the phrase, “Satan’s so-called deep secrets” in Revelation 2:24.
ye that are escaped of the nations: (God always leaves a remnant, and
they will be saved for God’s name sake)
Isaiah The remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.
10:21
Isaiah For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them
10:22 shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness.
they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image,
and pray unto a god that cannot save.
Genesis And Laban said to Jacob, What hast thou done, that thou hast stolen away
31:26 unawares to me, and carried away my daughters, as captives taken with the
sword?
Genesis Wherefore didst thou flee away secretly, and steal away from me; and didst
31:27 not tell me, that I might have sent thee away with mirth, and with songs, with
tabret, and with harp?
Genesis And hast not suffered me to kiss my sons and my daughters? thou hast now
31:28 done foolishly in so doing.
Genesis It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt: but the God of your father
31:29 spake unto me yesternight, saying, Take thou heed that thou speak not
to Jacob either good or bad.
Genesis And now, though thou wouldest needs be gone, because thou sore longedst
31:30 after thy father's house, yet wherefore hast thou stolen my gods?
Noticed that Laban acknowledged that the God of Jacob’s father spoke
to him and gave him a command, but his excuse for only partially
following that command is to retrieve his own god.
Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who
hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time?
have not I the LORD?
Ephesians Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed
1:3 us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
Ephesians According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the
1:4 world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
Ephesians Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to
1:5 himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,
Ephesians To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted
1:6 in the beloved.
and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is
none beside me.
I Corinthians As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in
8:4 sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and
that there is none other God but one.
I Corinthians For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth,
8:5 (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
I Corinthians But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and
8:6 we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by
him.
III. Salvation for All
Isaiah Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none
45:22 else.
Look unto me, and be ye saved,
Numbers Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have
21:7 spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he
take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.
Numbers And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a
21:8 pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh
upon it, shall live.
Numbers And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to
21:9 pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of
brass, he lived.
John And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven,
3:13 even the Son of man which is in heaven.
John And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of
3:14 man be lifted up:
John That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
3:15
all the ends of the earth:
John For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
3:16 believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the
3:17 world through him might be saved.
John He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is
3:18 condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only
begotten Son of God.
John And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved
3:19 darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
I John My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man
2:1 sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
I John And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the
2:2 sins of the whole world.
for I am God, and there is none else.
Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Exodus Take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the
34:12 land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee:
Exodus But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their
34:13 groves:
Exodus For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is
34:14 Jealous, is a jealous God:
Exodus Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a
34:15 whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee,
and thou eat of his sacrifice;
Exodus And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a
34:16 whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.
Daniel Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which
3:29 speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego,
shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there
is no other God that can deliver after this sort.
Isaiah I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not
45:23 return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
Hebrews For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no
6:13 greater, he sware by himself,
Hebrews Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply
6:14 thee.
That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
Philippians Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
2:5
Philippians Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with
2:6 God:
Philippians But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a
2:7 servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Philippians And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became
2:8 obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Philippians Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name
2:9 which is above every name:
Philippians That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and
2:10 things in earth, and things under the earth;
Philippians And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the
2:11 glory of God the Father.
Philippians Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence
2:12 only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation
with fear and trembling.
Philippians For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good
2:13 pleasure.
Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they
shall be filled.
Thank God for His righteousness and the work that was done on the cross. If I was be
judged by my own righteousness, I’d be in trouble:
Matthew For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the
5:20 righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the
kingdom of heaven.
Romans But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly,
4:5 his faith is counted for righteousness.
Romans Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God
4:6 imputeth righteousness without works,
Romans Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are
4:7 covered.

53:11 shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
Chapter 11
Of Justification
1. Those whom God effectually calleth, He also freely justifieth,1 not by infusing
righteousness into them, but by pardoning their sins, and by accounting and
accepting their persons, as righteous;2 not for anything wrought in them, or done
by them, but for Christ’s sake alone;3 not by imputing faith itself, the act of
believing, or any other evangelical obedience to them, as their righteousness, but
by imputing Christ’s active obedience unto the whole law, and passive obedience
in His death, for their whole and sole righteousness;4 they receiving, and resting
on Him, and His righteousness by faith; which faith they have not of themselves:
it is the gift of God.5
2. Faith thus receiving and resting on Christ and His righteousness, is the alone
instrument of justification:6 yet it is not alone in the person justified, but is ever
accompanied with all other saving graces, and is no dead faith, but worketh by
love.7
3. Christ, by His obedience and death, did fully discharge the debt of all those that
are justified; and did by the sacrifice of Himself, in the blood of His cross,
undergoing in their stead the penalty due unto them, make a proper, real and full
satisfaction to God’s justice in their behalf;8 yet, inasmuch as He was given by the
Father for them, and His obedience and satisfaction accepted in their stead, and
both freely, not for anything in them,9 their justification is only of free grace, that
both the exact justice and rich grace of God might be glorified in the justification
of sinners.10
4. God did from all eternity decree to justify all the elect,11 and Christ did in the
fullness of time die for their sins, and rise again for their justification;12
nevertheless, they are not justified personally, until the Holy Spirit doth in due
time actually apply Christ unto them.13
5. God doth continue to forgive the sins of those that are justified;14 and although
they can never fall from the state of justification,15 yet they may by their sins, fall
under God’s fatherly displeasure;16 and in that condition, they have not usually
the light of His countenance restored unto them, until they humble themselves,
confess their sins, beg pardon, and renew their faith and repentance.17
6. The justification of believers under the Old Testament, was in all these respects
one and the same with the justification of believers under the New Testament.18
