We are college students from Bulacan State University, fifth year, taking up
Bachelor of Science in Architecture. In fulfillment of the requirements for our subject AR
551/554D (Architectural Design IX), we are currently conducting a research/study vital to
the preparation of our architectural thesis entitled:

“PANACEA: Redevelopment of the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant Site towards a

Medical Tourism Complex through Strategies on Salutogenic Design for Health
Restorative Settings”

This study aims to ensure that the Philippines is globally competitive through
implementation of quality standards in both public and private sector since it is one of the
countries that are capable and is in the top performing countries when it comes to Medical
Tourism because it offers a wide range of medical services at a more competitive price.
Given that Morong, Bataan is a Special Economic Zone, it is one of the best zones in the
country for the development of the healthcare industry that is open for medical tourism. This
gives a new function for the mothballed Bataan Nuclear Power Plant with the application of
adaptive reuse that will benefit locals, foreign agencies, the government and tourists with the
utilization of the spaces and the area suitable for healthcare, patient safety and tourism
purposes.

In connection with this, we humbly ask for your permission if we could visit the
BNPP for an ocular and gather data/information/pictures from your good office of the
following items listed:
