PSALM 1 Blessed are the righteous—The ungodly shall perish.

1 BLESSED is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of
sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his
season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the
righteous.
6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.

PSALM 93 The Lord reigneth—He is from everlasting—Holiness becometh the house of the Lord
forever.
1 THE LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength,
wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.
2 Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.
3 The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voice; the floods lift up their
waves.
4 The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of
the sea.
5 Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever.

PSALM 127 Children are an heritage from the Lord.

A Song of degrees for Solomon.
1 EXCEPT the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep
the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his
beloved sleep.
3 Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall
speak with the enemies in the gate.
