Introduction
Sayjai has been crocheting over 30 years. From 2009 she shares her
ideas on her blog. This e-book contains 16 patterns written from 2009 to
2013. Included are a piggy hat, a Cheshire cat headband for the
kids, flower balls to decorate the house, winter hats, scarfs and many
other beautiful patterns. Sayjai is best known for her Amigurumi:
the pink lady doll, monster rabbit, plus a little witch, nurse and mermaid.
The patterns in this book are mostly easy, but you have to know the
basic crochet stitches to read them. Enjoy creating the dolls, hats, scarfs
and other great ideas. Use the Table of Contents to jump to the patterns
in this book.
Pink Little Lady Doll

Materials
This pattern can be made using any yarn you wish. Choose a hook size
that matches the yarn.
3.00 mm hook;
4 ply yarn (cream, pink, dark pink and red);
Mohair yarn (light pink for hair);
Black embroidery floss;
Polyester fiberfill;
Two 4 mm black beads for eyes or other eyes as desired;
Tapestry needle;
Sewing needle and thread for attaching eyes.

Size
Pink Little Lady is 4.5 inches/ 11.5 cm high (excluding the rabbit ears)

Arm

Stuff hands a little bit, sew arms to body.
Hair
With light pink (mohair). Wind the yarn loosely and evenly around a 5”
(12.5 cm) piece of card board until the card is filled, then cut across one
edge, repeat as needed. For hair, hold two strands of yarn, fold in half.
With top of the head facing, insert hook toward outer of head in middle
top of head, draw the folded end through the stitch and pull the loose
ends through the folded end, draw the knot up tightly. Add hair around
until the hairs cover the head.

Hair Band
Strap
With pink, leave 6 inch (15 cm) of yarn at beginning, ch 10, leave 6
inch (15 cm), fasten off. (10)

Rnd 1: With pink, ch 2, 6 sc in second chain from hook. (6)

Sew ears on middle of strap.


Put hair band on.

Finishing
Sew eyes 8 sts apart between rnds 16-17 of head. With black
embroidery floss, embroider eyelashes. With red, embroider mouth on
rnd 15.

Rnd 1: With dark pink, ch 2, 6 sc in second chain from hook. (6)

Cat Bag Crochet Pattern
You can use this little bag as a school pencil bag, for cosmetics or a
handbag. Design your own bag by changing the colors or use patches,
beads, flowers to decorate the bag. Below are three examples. The bags
in the photos do not have a zipper yet.

The pattern is for the orange cat bag in the middle. It can be made using
any yarn you wish. Choose a hook size that matches the yarn.
Materials
1. 4.00 mm hook
2. Worsted Weight yarn (white, orange, brown and light green)
3. Black embroidery floss
4. Two 10 mm black buttons
5. Tapestry needle
6. Sewing needle and thread for attaching buttons
7. One 6.5 “ Zipper

Sew a Zipper to the Bag. (the bags I made still do not have zipper: Need
to buy them :)
You can design your own bag by changing the color of yarn or use
patches, beads, flowers,...etc. to decorate the bag.
Easy Hat, Scarf and Neck Warmer

The Hat, Scarf and Neck Warmer are easy and quick to make. You only
use single crochet stitches (US) or double crochet stitches (UK). The Hat
& Neck Warmer you can make in one to one and a half hour. The Scarf
takes about 2 hours.

Toddler Square Hat


Working in back loops only.
Row 1: With one strand of Skyway Marl 011 and one strand of blue
1362, ch 17, sc in second chain from hook, sc in next 15 chs, turn. (16)

For the Dark Gray Scarf and Hat (see photo): use Bulky, Chunky,
Craft a.k.a. Rug (Sirdar Hayfield Bonus Chunky) and a 10 mm hook.
Only crochet one strand of yarn. Use the same patterns as for the blue
scarf and hat below.
Blue Hat
Working in back loops only.
Row 1: With one strand of Fresco shade 0810 and one strand of blue

Fringe Cut 30 pieces of Sirdar Fresco shade 0810 yarn and 30 pieces of
Bonny Baby DK from Robin color blue 1362, 12 inches long. Hold 3
strands of each yarn and fold it in half. Use a crochet hook to pull it
through the end of rows. There will be a little loop on one side, pull the
yarn through that little loop to make a knot. Make 5 fringes evenly
spaced across each end of scarf. You can trim the ends to whatever
length you like.
Teen or Adult Hat, Scarf and Neck Warmer
Materials
For materials you can use:

With pink.
Part 1: Broomstick
Rnd 1: Ch 2, 6 sc in second chain from hook. (6)
Rnd 2: Working in back loops only. Sc in each st around.
Rnd 3-13: Sc in each st around, join with sl st in first st. Fasten off.
Part 2: Bristles
Cut 20 pieces of yarn, 6 inches (15 cm) in length. Fold the yarn in half
and loop an iron wire around the center, then twist the wire up together.

Assembly: Put the iron wire inside part 1, sew them together, tie a piece
of yarn around the bristles, to make it look like a real straw broom. Trim
the broom.
Finishing
Sew eyes 3 sts apart over rnds 35-36 of head. With red, embroider
mouth.
Gift Bag
This gift bag you can use for my Amigurumi Dolls. The Jazzy dolls fit
inside.

Size: bottom diameter 4" (10 cm) high 10" (25.5 cm).
I have used 4 ply acrylic yarn and a 3 mm hook.

This pattern can be made using any yarn you wish. Choose a hook size
that matches the yarn.

5. Two 5 mm black beads for eyes or other eyes as desired
6. Tapestry needle
7. Sewing needle and thread for attaching eyes

Hair
With Mohair yarn (red), cut 30 pieces of 6 “ (16 cm) long. For fringe,
hold 1 strand of yarn, fold in half. With wrong side facing, insert hook in
free loop of rnd 13, draw the folded end through the stitch and pull the
loose ends through the folded end, draw the knot up tightly. Add fringe
around.

Sew hat on head. For hair you can do the pigtails or braids as you wish.
Finishing
Sew eyes 6 sts apart between rnds 10-11 of head. With red embroider
mouth.
Little Mermaid Amigurumi

Materials
This pattern can be made using any yarn you wish. Choose a hook size
that matches the yarn. I have used:
1. 3.00 mm hook;
2. 4 ply yarn (cream, blue, pink, brown, red, green, peach and yellow);
3. Polyester fiberfill;
4. Two 4 mm black beads for eyes or other eyes as desired;
5. Eight 3 mm white beads for decorate the flowers;
6. Tapestry needle;
7. Sewing needle and thread for attaching eyes and white beads to
flowers.

The Little Mermaid is 4.5 inches/ 11.5 cm high.

Add fringe from one side of head to the back of head and from here to
the other side of head. Do not add fringe in the front (10 sts).
Finishing
Sew eyes 6 sts apart between rnds 8-9 of head. With red embroider
mouth.

The author Sayjai is from Thailand and lives in the UK. She has been
crocheting for over 30 years. In 2009 she started designing Amigurumi
and in 2012 she created a series of bags and sleeves. In 2012/2013 she
started a series of Big Huggy Dolls. Sayjai publishes patterns under the
names "K and J Dolls" and "K and J Publishing". Most of her designs
