I. Skimming y Scanning

Para el desarrollo del resultado, es necesario tener en cuenta dos técnicas de

lectura muy útiles que son el Skimming y Scanning.

Skimming se utiliza para identificar rápidamente las ideas principales de un texto.

Cuando se lee el periódico, probablemente no estás leyendo palabra por palabra,
en su lugar se escanea el texto. Skimming se realiza a una velocidad de tres a
cuatro veces más rápido que la lectura normal.

¿Para qué se utiliza el Skimming?

Consiste en dar una lectura rápida, identificando ideas o frases claves; no es

necesario leer cada palabra del texto. Se lee la primera oración de cada párrafo y
se trata de identificar las frases o palabras clave de cada uno de ellos. Al final se
extraen y se anotan a fin de descubrir la idea general del texto.

¿Cómo se utiliza este tipo de lectura?

Es una técnica de lectura rápida donde se utiliza para localizar el sentido general
de la lectura o cierta parte de ella. Esta técnica te ahora mucho tiempo y te da una
idea muy general de lo que trata el texto o párrafo.

Esta técnica permite comenzar a identificar las ideas principales de un texto

mediante la lectura de los párrafos primero y último, a partir de frases en otros
párrafos (oraciones temáticas), y teniendo en cuenta otras pistas de organización
como el título, negrita, cursiva, palabras en mayúsculas.

No se busca información específica, como en el Scanning. El Skimming permite

cubrir una gran cantidad de material textual en una cantidad limitada de tiempo.

El Scanning o Escaneo, el scanning es una técnica que suelen utilizar cuando se

busca una palabra en la guía telefónica o un diccionario. Busca palabras clave o
ideas. En la mayoría de los casos, usted sabe lo que está buscando, por lo que
está concentrado en encontrar una respuesta en particular.

Escaneo implica mover los ojos rápidamente por la página de búsqueda de

palabras y frases específicas. La exploración se utiliza también la primera vez que
