Saturday,July 26,2008.
4th Sharavan, 1930 (S).
Madam/Dear Sir,
STAFF SUPERVISING
REIMBURSEMENT OF CONVEYANCE EXPENSES
OFFICERS IN SCALE I TO V
We refer to our Circular letter no. CDO/PM/16/CIR/49 dated the 29th November,
2006 wherein ceilings of reimbursement of conveyance expenses on actual
receipt and monetary ceiling (certificate basis) were advised.
2. In this connection, it was felt that the Bank has shifted to a different mode
of functioning because of technological innovation, BPR initiatives and intensive
drive for increase in market share, etc. Due to the emphasis on marketing and
sales, the need of the officers to visit places outside the work place has
increased tremendously. Therefore, there is a need for review of this facility.
The All India State Bank Officers’ Federation (AISBOF) has also been
representing for review of the present ceiling.
3. In view of the aforesaid, in its meeting held on the 26th July, 2008, the
Central Board of the Bank has decided that the ceiling of reimbursement of
conveyance expenses on actual receipt basis for the supervising staff owning
vehicles be revised. The revision has been effected at the following rates:
The table (I,II & III) for revised ceiling is placed in the Annexure to this Circular.
5. There is no change in the monetary ceiling for those who are opting to
draw reimbursement of conveyance expenses on certificate basis as advised in
our Circular dated 29.11.2006.
Yours faithfully,
for DY. MANAGING DIRECTOR &
CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
