Subject

Oil Leakage from hydraulic pump

Problem/ Complaint

Hydraulic problem can’t work properly

Symptom

Header function and turning function can’t work

Troubleshooting /Service Step

Firstly, we checked the hydraulic oil level. It was not ok. Then, we filled hydraulic oil at level mark and test run
the machine for looking oil leakage. Oil is leakage from delivery pipe L-elbow. We tighten delivery pipe it was not ok.
Then we dismounted hydraulic pump and checking shaft seal, oil seal and other seal. We change new all oil seal.
Then we install hydraulic pump and test run the function. It was not ok. Then, we dismounted pump and checking oil
seal, pump housing condition and pump pinion. It was ok and we mounted hydraulic pump to machine. We test run
the hydraulic function it was not ok. So, we considered to changing new hydraulic pump. So, we dismounted old
pump and changing new pump. Then, we test run the hydraulic function. No oil leakage. It was ok. Then, we test the
machine to field about 30-45 minutes. It was ok.
Analysis
We troubleshoot the hydraulic problem. We changing new oil seal and shaft seal. It was not ok. Then, we
adjudge to changing new hydraulic pump. It was ok. This hydraulic pump problem is not trouble shoot. So, we
considered to changing new pump.

Action and Suggestion

Hydraulic pump is really important for machine. If it can’t work properly header and turning function
can’t ok. So, it can delay harvesting for working to field. Hydraulic pump filter and hydraulic oil are should be check
for daily.
