XDclear Ultrasound Probe Technology

Furthermore, we will discuss the XDclear technology.

GE developed the XDclear ultrasound probe technology by precise engineering and combining
the single crystal, acoustic amplifier, and cool stack together. This delivers a more powerful,
pure, and efficient sound wave with a wider bandwidth than the traditional GE transducer
technology.

Each has their own important purpose:

The single crystal is the foundation of a superb image quality which incorporates an enhanced
piezoelectric material to generate a high-quality acoustic signal.

The acoustic amplifier as the acoustic insulation will result in widened power efficiency
bandwidth with reduced noise and less heat dissipation. Since energy that used to be wasted
due to the backing structure is now reflected and re-used.

The cool stack architecture will relieve the heat generation which could reduce the sensitivity
and penetration.

Finally, the XDclear transducer technology increases the bandwidth to make each transducer
cover a broader frequency range. This realizes the deep penetration, high resolution, and
enhanced harmonic imaging.

GE XDclear transducers C1-6D, C2-9D, M5Sc-D, and C3-10D are applicable on the GE XDclear
family models. These include the Logiq E9 XDclear, the Vivid E9 XDclear, the Logiq S8 XDclear,
and the Logiq S7 XDclear.
