3 LEDStudio Basics
3 LEDSTUDIO BASICS
LEDStudio allows you to create playfiles that consists of text, images, and videos. A playfile consists of playsteps. A
playstep can be one of the two types: Universal Display and Step. A playfile can only have one Universal Display.
It will be shown continuously on the LED display and are mainly used to display clock, company log, or other static
information. Step is the main playstep type of a playfile and you can have as many Steps as you want. Steps are
displayed in the order defined in the playfile.
A playstep can have multiple window’s. A window contains certain content to be shown, which can be in the form
of text, image, or video. A window can by one of the following 12 types:
When you open LEDStudio, it displays the main program window and the preview window (Figure 3.1). The main
window is where you create your playfiles and control the size and location of the preview window.
The preview window displays the content of playfile, i.e., the content you want to display on LED display, on your
computer screen. Up to 99 preview windows are supported by LEDStudio. Each window is independent from
others and you can create playfile, play playfile, and edit playfile for each preview window. In other word,
LEDStudio can control up to 99 LED displays simultaneously.
The main program window controls the size and location of the preview window. It has the commands to create
playfile, edit playfile, and play playfile. . The workspace in the main window includes the following components:
