1. Purpose
To provide guidelines and procedures for learning and development related activities.
2. Scope
The policy shall apply to all employees in the business units under [XYZ Company].
3. Policy
The Company recognizes that employees are our greatest asset and that by providing
with the opportunities and support to continue employee’s development, in terms of
knowledge, skills and experience necessary to perform their roles to the highest
standards, and in turn feel a real sense of job satisfaction and achievement.
4. Conditions
4.2. Learning and Development needs will be identified through the formal annual
performance appraisal process and documented in the Personal Development
Plan. Learning plans at a business level are identified as part of the annual
business planning process.

5. Procedure
5.1.2. Supervisors in each field propose names of those who will be trained.
5.1.3. Employees who are going to be trained are to fill in forms for training
permissions from their supervisors.
5.1.5. After the training, employees who have attended have to write reports on
the external training/development course and exchange their knowledge
and experience with their colleagues.
5.1.7. Supervisors have a duty to follow the results of the training and
development of employees.
5.2.1. Each year, supervisors in each business units/divisions and each Human
Resource representative consider learning and development plan for
employees together. The initiative for such consideration may be from
questionnaires, observations, annual performance appraisal.

5.2.4. After the training, the employees who have participated have to assess the
particular training course they have attended for the benefit of continuous
improvement.
5.2.6. Supervisors have a duty to follow the results of the training and
development of employees
6. Deviating Handling
6.1. Deviations from main principles and/or procedures must be permitted by the
approver of this policy. Any deviations without permissions and that have
caused damage shall be regarded as breach to relevant work rules and/or
regulation.
6.2. This policy shall be effective as from 1 January 2015. The announcement shall
repeal and replace other announcements contrary hereto.
6.3. The policy may be amended, changed or revoked in full or in part by the
company as it sees appropriate. Concerned personal shall be informed
accordingly.
