Please be advised effective this date your employment withthe Louivile Metro Police
Department is terminated. | am taking this ection based upon my review of Publ Integrity Unit
investigation fle #20-019, which was itiated on March 13, 2020, and your Pre-Termination
meeting held on today’s date, The original investigation was conducted by the Lousvlle Metro
Police Departments Public Intagity Unit. Tho folowing isthe result of my subsequent review of
the Public Integrity Unit fie.

Based upon my review, these are extreme violations of our polices. find your conduct a shock
to the conscience. | am alarmed and stunned you used deadly fores in thi fashion. You have
never been trained by the Louisville Metro Policed Department to use deadly force in tis
fashion. Your actions have brought discredit upon yoursal and the Department. Your eonduct
has severely damaged the image of our Department wo have established with our eornmunity

Pursuant to Louisvile Metro Poice Merit Board Rules and Regulations 9,2(4), Any police officer
emoved, suspended, lad off, reduced in grade or reprimanded by the Chief shal bs allowed a
Period of ten (10) days from the date of notice from the Chie to flea vrten respons to the
‘disciplinary action which shall be made a part of the officer's permanent personnel recordin the
Police Department. No tral or examination of witnesses shall be required In any such case

Pursuant to Louisville Metro Police Met Soard Rules and Regulations 9.3(4), ‘Disciplinary
‘action taken by the Chief involving suspension, demotion, or clemissal of any permanent officer
shall be subject to review by the Board on an appeal by the employee. If such a review ie
requested in wring, within ten (10) days from the effective date of tho disciplinary acton, the
Board shall schedule and conduct a public hearing to review the action ofthe Chief subject to
the Hearing Procedures of the Board ond applicable statutes.”
Pursuant to Section 10.1(2) ofthe Loulsvile Meo Police Merit Board Rules and Regulations,
